Look, H A L F - L I F E 2 is a great game and I really enjoy it, but... it is only a videogame. And you've got these people talking about:


Is G-Man Gordon Freeman in the future?

Why was the Hydra cut from the final game?

Did Alyx survive?

How old are the characters?

Is Gordon wearing a helmet??


I mean, come on! Do you know how boring you sound? Treat H A L F - L I F E 2 as it's meant to be treated - an enjoyable diversion. It's escapism.

Yes. So is the discussion surrounding the game. Treat is as such -menial but entertaining- and you won't have problems with it the same way you don't have problems with videogames.

Note also, that speculation around fiction has been going on for centuries around books.. why should a game with a similarly entertaining storyline be any different?
