So I was at Traget today and I am with my sister and we are walking through the toys and I see a Barbie doll with a little side bonus deal on it. After I look a little closer I see it is a cell phone deal, buy a barbie and get a free talkabout cellphone from Nokia... I almost cried right there. What is this world coming to when you see cell phone ads on Barbie Doll's for Pete's sake people...

There is nothing inherently wrong with a cell phone but its a question of need and also just evil evil marketing... Kids that young dont need cell phones and neither do most teenagers but those of "barbie" age most definately do not. then the sick money grubbing bastards at Matel saw a marketing opportunity to go with their "urban" line of barbies. And yea most peopel think cell phones cause bra in tumors... but its not a proven fact. Cell phones in general are not the greatest thing for society and are generally another blatant example of American extravagance and ingorance. I think we can agree though that cellphones are here to stay and will eventually make regular phones obsolete (this is already happening in Europe I think). I just hope people would use them sensibly and follow a few basic rules:

1. Real coversation > cellphone converstation. The rudest thing you can do is talk on the phone for like 30 minutes while hanging out with someone. Seriously, this is so f*cked up and happens all the time.

2. If you talk about genitals on the phone people around you are gona laugh. DUH!! Don't complain.

3. A public area is not the best place to listen to all your ringtones.

There are probably more, Im just too lazy to think of them right now.

lol, i ALWAYS play with my ringtones on the subway, just to piss people off, or show them how annoying cell phones/me are.

Though, the thing i hate the most is the guy who has got the cell in his pocket and the mouth piece on. He talks as loud as he can in the "hotel lobby" or whereever and uses his hands when he talks. So annoying, since they cause the biggest scene without knowing it.

yesterday at party city I saw a mother buying her 7 year old daughter a hooker costume. It's like screaming out "Hey crazy pedophiles! Where are you! Come and get me!" I was pissed at the mother, I wanted to yell at her saying "Hey, listen up, your not a ****ing pimp! Your here mother damnit!"

All my sisters Barbie dolls are dressed like hookers, since all the Barbie clothes they sell are slutty. I wonder when we'll have "Blow-job barbie", or maybe a whole new line of dolls, how about "Sally the Slut"?

Halloween has been cancelled, seriously. No trick or treating allowed anymore because parents are afraid that their children are going to be killed/kidnapped/poisoned/raped. [sarcasm] It makes perfect sense because those things happen soooo often around here [/sarcasm]

Actually it makes me feel kind of good that most people are so materialistic and simple-minded. Sometimes I feel like Neo inside the Matrix - I can see what makes the place tick - I can see the reason behind people's subconcious decisions.

Next time you see someone, try to figure out as much info about them as you can just by looking at them ..

- are they a follower or a leader?
- are they single or in a relationship?
- are they friendly or shy?
- are they stupid or intelligent?
- do they have a sense of humor?

If you talk to them afterwards you'll be surprised at how right you were. And maybe take psychology if this stuff interests you.

Children these days are starting to explore their body at a younger and younger age, mostly due to things as Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears and so forth that they see on MTV. The main problem is however that although their physical state is changing, their emotional state isn't. Result is 10 year old pubescent kids not knowing the consquences to wearing certain kind of garment. From the outside they're like Aguilera in that clip Lady Marmalade, but from the inside they're still the kids that play with Barbies (disregarding what type of Barbie).

I went to the fair on Sunday night, and there were 10/11 year old girls in skimpy clothing, wearing make-up, in ridiculously high shoes, and they were still there at 10PM, dancing under the ultra-violet lights of the Waltzers. I had no idea that they were so young, until I heard them speak. They sounded so young, yet looked like they were (very short) 16/17yr olds.

Yup, atleast has happened in here in Finland, everyone has a cellphone, we don't even have a normal phones anymore, thought Finland is one of the world's top in cellphone usage, Nokia is Finnish corporation too.

I agree with you guys on this; Apparently vanity has become a "must have" for children, especially little girls. I remember when I used to work at Mexican Inn; This little girl has a small, pink umbrella...needless to say it wasn't raining, she was just too-damn-good for the sun, unlike the rest of us blue-collared bozos. I guess girls are getting a start, at being a bitch, early.
