I've found the guy to play Gordon in HL movie ;)

That guy from X-Files would be perfect as Gordon.

And if there was a movie made, it should be done by Clive Barker.

Edit: Christopher Walken as G-man, that would be badass.

And I just read that post. . .that 'cleaner' guy who came out of the bathroom in that scene. . .yeah that guy would be pretty good. And he pretty much never talked and he's not a big actor, which makes him better.
 
heh anyone suggesting Fincher should watch Alien3 to see he wouldn't be a good choice, Fight Club was a one hit wonder (and wasn't even that good anyway)

I'd agree on Walken but only cause I'm a huge fan of his. Some have said his method of acting wouldn't work for the current G-man, which is true, but those staring eyes and just not knowing whats going on in his head I think would win the vote

I can't believe no one else has suggested this either. But then, I probably can't believe it because it has been suggested, maybe 100 times. ;) That being said, I agree on walken but not on norton. i think charlie sheen is much better fit.

so anyhoo, back on topic, anyone come up with a Dr Kleiner actor yet. What about the other scientists aswell, from the first game, and who would play Otis as someone else mentioned. I mean he has to turn up at some point, even if the last time he was seen by anyone was while he offered to go protect the vending machine :)

I didn't see anyone post it in this thread.

Now that I think of it, both Ed Norton and Charlie Sheen are too old to be playing a 24 year old (both are in their thirties).

Now I woulda agree'd, but I just watched Toys the other night and still recovering and watching mork and mindy and his other work to re-convince myself he's a good actor (Toys was an awfully bad film) I felt dirty after watching Toys, I keep showering but the dirt it just doesn't come off!


But seriously, he would make a good Kleiner. He's shown in recent films he can go from a comedy part to a sinister part very easily, so Kleiner would be a breeze for him. If he could be kept on a tight leash ;)
 
personally i feel more than 2 stars is bad for a movie. so it should be sheen and walken and a bunch of (good) b movie actors.

Agreed, this guy needs a straight jacket with other people around (attention wh0re) but he can switch from lunatic to serious in a split second. The hardest thing for him in the Half Life movie would be the make up.

Why would a subtitle be necessary? Half-Life is a pretty cool name for a movie by itself. Well how about...

Even though he dropped off the face of the earth after the X-Files ended, I think David Duchovny could make a great Gordon Freeman. Just give him some horn rims and a gotee and I think it'd work. He could pull off the silent bit as he's a surprisingly expressive actor, but his trademark deadpan delivery would suit the role to a T if Gordon did talk.
 
THE GUY FROM BOONDOCK SAINTS NAME IS Marcus Purilo. I cant find a pic on the web of him, but come to think of it now he would play a PERFECT gordon!! When i get home i will get a screencap of him!
 
I really don't think you would need a subtitle for the movie. The lambda symbol or a crowbar on a poster would hit the idea home.

I don't think Christoper Lloyd is dead...
 
Just thought of something...what if Gordon talks in HL2...There can be neat little cutscenes where it'll go into 3rd person view,and you'll hear Gordon talk.That'd be so awesome...
 
Just make a movie, and use the actual story of HL and HL2

I dunno, would a lambda symbol and a crowbar make any sense to someone who doesn't know what HL is? (yes there are those unenlightened few who have never heard of it or played it heh)

warlord, Lloyd is still alive and kicking, he's still making movies and shows and has done plenty this year too

though I find myself disagreeing with Gabe, they may have more depth now but the first story still needs to be told to establish that. Otherwise you run the risk of viewers asking "well why does Kleiner act like that" or "what does Barney mean remember when we thought black mesa was bad, why what exactly happened, im joe public, i have a wife and kids, aged between 25-35 and i don't like or play games and or i cant afford them" First the characters have to be properly established and for HL2 to be at its best HL1 should be done first. Besides not only that but HL1 had a great story and should still be done. I know HL2 is flavor of the month but lets face it, if it hadn't been for HL1 there wouldn't be a Gordon Freeman, or Barney or annoying scientists or some of the coolest aliens since Giger's alien.

and don't anyone suggest doing HL2 first and then a prequel cause thats just a huge cop out that Lucas got away with only barely :p

I say just do a computer animated movie. That Warcraft 3 preview I've seen in movies looked pretty good on the screen. LOL, y not just hook your computer to the tv, hit record, and just play all of Half Life in one sitting? Full of action and suspense...:bounce:


and Boondock Saints kicked major ass btw.
