Pearl harbour was a military attack, against a milatary target, Hiroshima and Nagasaki were civillian targets. Pearl harbour was nothing at all, absolutely nothing when you compare it to the mass murder of a million civillians.

Admittedly that thing about the USA knowing about the attack but not acting on it is almost certainly true. All I'm saying is that Hiroshima was no more of a 'civilian target' than Pearl Harbour was...had the japanese nuked that it would have killed a lot of innocents too.

I think your modern view of the united states severely taints your history.

I can't believe you're under the belief that the USA bombed Hiroshima because of fore-knowledge of the bombing of Pearl Harbor. Thats the biggest load of crap i've heard in a while.

Pearl Harbor was the REASON the united states entered the war. Its the straw that broke the camels back so to speak. It wasn't an excuse...

In fact, your crackpot conspiracy theory that the united states had fore knowledge of Pearl Harbor and just sat back and let its own people die... is so far out there, its the first time i've heard of it.

The 'ship' you're talking about, was sunk nearby pearl harbor, and was a defensive measure... as it was trying to enter the harbors of pearl harbor behind a cargo ship. It wasn't a day before, it was hours before... the military command just happened to ignore the attack, and didn't put much thought in it.


But... go on and keep dreaming crackpot schemes about why the US nuked Japan... but the fact will still remain, and is quite legitimate mind you, especially since it worked... that they were used because an invasion of japan would cost untold numbers of lives of Japanese military and civilians, and American military. The entire island was prepared to fight against marines... including old men, women, and children.

As horrible as the bombings were, and they were horrible... it'd be foolish to think that there'd be fewer casualties with a massive land invasion of Japan to end the war.

ya it says that it would be strategic and that japan attacking USA would be beneficial, so we would have a reason in the allied worlds eyes, and USA's civillians eyes, to stop japan from helping the axis take out britain. We are just not going to let that happpen. If britain fell, they would either gain Russia as an ally or kill them too.
I mean the fact is, although the war between usa and japan was not official, and hadn't started yet, japan was helping nazi germany and itally kick britains ass, so they were helping kill our friends and allies.

The aircraft carriers are what won the war in the Pacific, fact. I believe only 1 was fully destroyed most were cowincidentaly out to sea at the time. It's a distict possibility that they knew.

As for evidence... I don't see any concrete evidence proving that The united states knew about the pearl harbor attack well before hand, and didnt do anything on purpose, just so they could enter the war... when in fact they could have entered the war earlier, and gained much more respect by fighting against the axis openly.

If there's such concrete, undeniable proof, and it isnt just a conspiracy theory, why isnt it heralded in all the newspapers, that america wanted Japan to attack it so that it could then nuke Japan.

Its conspiracy theory, my friend... and until the day its heralded in all history books, biased or not as all around fact, I could never believe it.
