Against it? I figured that was the basis of it. Jesus made a very clear point that it was imperative that all of his followers try and convert non-believers to his message.

And if you look at all the Christian missionaries operating all over the world, it's quite obvious what the main function of the church is. In certain cases, they've even denied aid on the basis of whether or not that person (or village in some cases) accepts the Christian faith.

Well that was past time. I go to church and I heard the pastor himself say those who do not believe in God at all can still come to salvation through just leading a good life. So basic rule is don't be an ass and your good. Though some Christians think eventually God's love will overcome all evil and everyone will sit down at the table of Heaven. So you could be sitting next to Hitler and he won't care if you are not Aryan.
