No, I was watching a video on Bruce Lee. :)

now that i think about it. hmmm, 130lb dumbells in each hand, lol. thats more weight hes punching with than he actually weighs. somehow i doubt those numbers are accurate. do you know how hard it is to keep that much weight at arms length even for a split second? tyson was around 220lb-230lb in his prime right?

:| Jeet Kune Do biitches! If Bruce Lee were still around he'd own Tyson. Didn't his style require for one to get like really aggressive n shit? Tyson lunatic my ass, Bruce Lee was, he'd smash Tyson's balls and eat em like Won Tons. But Tyson was good in his prime thugh, I remember his freakin' one-punch-ends-the-match hits.

As for Jet Li, no I don't think Jet Li could take Tyson, I doubt Tyson would not get atleast one hit. In a street fight, there's gonna be grappling, if Tyson were to get a hold of Jet Li, it's over, he'd juststart bashing in his ****ing head! INTENSE!

Why do some of you assume that the only way to win a fight is with punching power? Take a look at the UFC and similar bare-knuckle competitions - i've never yet seen a dedicated boxer win a fight against any other opponent. Most of the time the boxer gets taken down in seconds (since they don't know how to defend against take-downs) and then he ends up submitting or getting his limbs broken or dislocated.

this is Tyson we are talking about.. street fight would just make him more lethal, not less.

How so? The fact is boxers are one dimensional - they only know how to punch and defend against punches. Admittedly they excel at this more so than any other class of fighter, but when faced with another fighter with a wider skill-set they don't stand a chance other than to rely on landing the perfectly timed / weighted punch before their opponent takes them to the floor.

Also remember that it only takes 20lb of pressure square on the chin to knock ANY man out, so even going toe-to-toe the smaller guy still has a (slim) chance against a bigger opponent.

Boxers have condition and the thing is, boxing pits you against another human being which is also what street fights are. Some martial arts just have you punch air. Any form of sparring will do such as boxing, kick boxing, UFC and etc...
Just because Mike Tyson uses his fist doesn't mean he can't use his legs, in boxing, there are rules, if he got into a fight with Jet Li, he would probably lose his ear. Mike Tyson can take hits.

Mike Tyson pwns Jet Li. Li's stunts are mostly special effects. Bruce Lee could probably take on Tyson though. Lee did alot of street fighting in his days and he also didn't have a style which made him unpredictable.

I guess you don't lift weights.

It's quite common for people who work out to lift more than they weigh.

Yeah he's right, my friend weights about 130 lb and he can bench up to 200 or somewhere close to there.

Jet Li started the martial arts by training 8 hours a day for five years.

Jet Li. :)

Tyson would destroy Li. Whithout question. I can't believe people actually think this would be a contest, get real.

A book? I remember seeing it in a Bruce Lee documentary.

Yall are acting like Mike Tyson doesnt know how to fight and the only way he won heavyweight championship of the world is cuz he was bigger than everyone.

Basically my line of thinking is Stronger + knows how to fight> knows how to fight

god. dont be such a fool. bench pressing is one thing, i can bench way more than my weight as well, but putting weight at arms length STANDING UP, like punching is totally a different thing. something tells me you don't know much about physics or lifting weights or else you would have caught that. get a barbell, stand up, and see how much weight you can support putting it at arms length, it won't be much, its one of the exercises where a little weight is still difficult. this is why i say 130lb on EACH hand would be incredibly difficult. i mean, if its more than tyson weighed, and lets say tyson could get his arms out there, it would throw him off balance. i think you just misquoted what you saw. now its a totally different story if hes laying on a bench, thats easily believable, but when you say throw punches, punches are thrown from the standing position.

there are books about bruce lee. these shows/specials get much of their material from these books.
