Yes. I can honestly say that a taser or pepper spray is less effective than a gun. With pepper spray, you've got to get close enough so that the pepper spray reaches him and close enough to spray it in his eyes. That means getting within potential knife range. Right there, that alone makes it much less effective. With a Taser, like I said earlier, you've got one shot. The little dart with the wires attached to the end shoots out and if it hits him, he gets electrocuted. If everything works perfectly then yes, then it is the more effective way to stop him. What you're not considering, is that if you miss, you're ****ed. One shot...one shot. Also, and more importantly, if the rapist is still...uh...

Actually, there are two "darts." One of the darts would have to strike her to complete the circuit and zap her too. Or the darts would have to strike him on either side of his...uh...thingy so she makes contact with a part of his body between the leads. The length of the leads on the TASER is 21 feet, which is not coincidentally the distance within which a person armed with a knife can successfully attack a person before they can draw their gun.
