Just bought Splinter cell chaos Theory (PC)

Wow This game is freaking AWSOME :thumbs: Just cant figure out how to cut there throats. I thought it was possible.

is it legal to make a backup of the DVD? i picked up the collectors edition the other day, and id like to keep the real DVD out of my drive and in the tin.

anyone successfully made a copy yet? ive heard it uses starforce protection, and it somehow binds your key to the cd somehow. not sure what program to use.
 
Will give it a hire on Xbox when I comes out here tomorrow. Also gotta try Brothers in Arms...

I don't think you can slit their throats, only knock the out. Of course, that can't stop you from throwing their unconcious bodies over a cliff! :p
 
It's possible to slit people's throats. You can only do that if you haven't grabbed an NPC. If you have grabbed an NPC, you have the option of a lethal, or non-lethal attack. If you decide to kill him, you knee if in the spine, which kills the person, if you decide to let him live, you choke him. If you want to slit someone's throat, go to the side of the person and press primary fire. It's usually different, sometimes, you might stab the guy in the back, sometimes, you slit their stomachs and sometimes, their throats. It really depends on the angles.
 
sweet thanks , the game is really good i love tossing bodies over cliffs and killing people while they are asleep. im on the bank level trying to steel 50,000,000 in bonds. hee hee. and the ragdolls are really good in this game.

I know I've put this up before, but since you are talking about how you kill everything, I wanted to point out that I kill nothing. My version of Sam is a humanitarian or something. :LOL:
 
My problem is, is that I LOVE LOVE LOVE that knife so much, I barely use my guns... I just love sneaking up to people, then just knocking them out, or killing them if they smell funny.

Yeah to slit throats you gotta be on the side, and hit mouse 1 (primary fire)... For a non-lethal takedown hit mouse2 (your sucess rating will be higher)

Coop is buggy though :(
 
i've just heard voice comm doesn't work for now ...but even that does for some

plus a few people have had trouble joining other peoples games

edit: i've just got mine through the post right now :D
 
Is the 1.01 patch for US versions only? It's all a bit confusing after using Steam for so long. :p

He has an x800 Pro 256mb card. It says his whole system in large red text in his signature. :p
 
Got it preordered, so it should arrive tomorrow. I've opted for the Xbox version though, since SM2.0 isn't supported on the PC version, I might as well play it on a TV with SM1.1
 
It's great fun! Sometimes gets a bit frustrating thanks to a lack of autosaves (which leaves the addictive quicksaves as the only option) and when the AI knows too much (throw a nade and even if they don't see it moving they will know where you are). But still, it's fantastic. :)
 
Euro patch is out, you can run the updater to get it.
 
few, its out now then? Am goin to the shop tomorrow and if its not there im going to be severely pi**ed. I hated waiting for HL2 all those months, ive cleared all my plans for tomorrow, going paintballing next Friday!!!

Arnt people payed to play through the games to check them of bugs n such, so why do we only hear about them when the game is released, why not fix them first!?

Ok great. The game finally got here....after waiting ALL week...and its....the xbox version. Unbelivable, never ordering from gamestop again.


I'm keeping the xbox version and they better send me the pc version before this weekend or I'm going off on them
 
well after assing about all day trying to get coop working and them just releasing the eu patch a few hours ago, i managed to have 2 quick goes on the training mission

the voice comm works and when you shout into the microphone it does affect your surroundings and guards, etc....one MAJOR MAJOR flaw in coop is it runs horribly....which is completley none understandable as the single player runs like a dream. its mouse lag to hell and back and theres just no reason it should

apart from all that though, the game i managed to have was good....it was only the training mission though cos i told a mate i'd wait till he got it until i played it proper...the throwy thing you can do with your spy team mate is brilliant...the animation on characters is brilliant aswell

as soon as they smooth out the performance problems, i'm sure it'll be amazing

spies vs mercs is as excellent as it ever was even know i only had a quick do on that

oh well hope to play whoever of you picks the game up sometime

Tin makes me think you're talking about HL2 :D What are you talking about? I haven't seen anything about a CE of Splinter Cell 3?

Edit: Now I have read a little about the CE. Cool. Hope I can find it cheap in a few months :) Probably. Found 2 CE's of Warcraft 3 for more than 50% off about a year after its release :E I consider myself lucky :D
 
I've been googling for an hour now, I've already went off on them on the phone, and I will be calling them back. They told me on the phone they sent me the fedex label to my email but they lied. NEVER ORDER FROM GAMESTOP.COM because I swear I just want to kill someone right now. How could they have POSSIBLY got that wrong?
