I've had my 360 for almost a year and this is only the second game I bought after playing a demo on steam as I can't usually stand console games.

But if you are a fan of GTA sandbox style games this is worth checking out. It has helicopters, jets, and a grappling hook that lets you get on to pretty much anything including airborne vehicles. Also has a huge variety of enviroments and the entire world is giant. Anyone else playing it?

I dont like these type of games on the PC. I think it plays alot better on the console because of the bumpers and the joysticks. Not to mention these games always seem to lag a bit on PCs.

I tend to have more of a drive to play console games rather than Computer. All because of the larger screen, what No limit has suggested and a seat you can sleep on.

Comfort is fun.

The giant varied environments of Just Cause 2 + the destructibility of Red Faction Guerrilla would be the perfect game in my opinion. The only thing stopping developers is the processing power of current computers/consoles.

Don't we already have a 4 page or more thread on this game?

I played this game for a day and found it to be absolutely horrible. Gimmicky and boring grapple hook and parachute combo, seems like a gameplay mechanic someone thought up while tripping on acid. The sandbox world with the factions I found dull and lacking depth. Destruction by blowing stuff is up is mundane. Suffers from big title syndrome in my opinion, where people assume the household name is therefore a big player.

On the other hand, it's an attractive looking game with good looking jungles. But you can get the same joy watching Rambo 4 on Blu-ray.

Game is lots of fun if you forget about the story and just set about experimenting and creating your own fun.

Huh? Part 1 was only a modest success and this is only Avalanche's second title afaik.

I'm with stemot btw. If you see Panau as your playground and ignore the missions, you will have a lot of fun.

I should get it on PC. The only benefit I see on PC over consoles are mods, for this particular game. I had tons of fun screwing around in just the demo on the PS3, helicopter-hopping and hijacking shit all day.

While that is true for the most part, there are some missions that really shine just because they are so ridiculous. The Agency missions are worth doing for sure, and while most of the faction missions are pretty basic, there are a few gems in there.

i tried it on my PC and it was choppy. I think I'll just rent this on my PS3

fun game though
