Not even in the game yet. Just configuring my options, my controls, my graphics settings. I cant wait to play around and explore all the menus, and changes I can make. I love doing stuff like that. How bout you guys? :bounce:

So you're saying that you're anticipating changing your control scheme more than playing the actual game?

EDIT: You'd love BF1942, they got plenty of control menus.

Not more than playing the game. But its like the ultimate build up. You finally got the game yu wanted. And you know that after setting the options to the way you want, you will be very soon looking at that load screen. And then from the load screen fades in the game. And you look around, and THEN begin to play. HAHHH I cant wait.

I can't wait to see Valve's new startup logo! That will make it all worth while!!!!

I'm sorry, but that last post even struck ME as pathetic.

Im still slightly uneasy around their old logo :) Damn, bald man with a pipe and valve in his head. Darn freaks lol.

I understand where you're coming from. My anticipation with a lot of things (movies, games, vacations, etc) tend to be more exciting than the actual experience. I know my trip to EB on the 30th (or 1st of October, whenever they get it) will be of a frenzied, heart-pounding nature.

It had better make a lot of noise and have huge bass sounds... those are sweet... :cheese:

The new one should be WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better. Maybe a pipe going through his nuts or something. LMAO!

The tutorial is always the best part of the game :)

I wanna play the hazard course/tutorial.
me too! i love those. not sure why :D
the beginning of games is also usually really well made too, i.e. tram sequence in hl

For the intro- they should have lasers everywhere and people flying and HeadCrabs dying. Hell YEA! The G-Man could be cool and have super powers!!!!!!!!!!!

I really hope they include the Source tech demo level with the game...I really want to shoot those barrells down from that perch.

"Didn't think this would be complete without a giant pachinko machine."

Tutorials own. I just dont like when they keep talking and talking and talking blah blah.

Yeah, the tutorial always builds excitement. I CAN'T WAIT!

I don't know how it would fit in with the context of City 17, though. At least in the original, it was understandable with the Black Mesa environment and it being your first day, etc.

Perhaps the G-Man has his own facility to train you?

Was that sort of intro a gaming first? think it might have been.. hmmm memories.. fuzzy :D

What kind of tutorial would Half-Life 2 have? Seeing that it's in City 17(Europe), Communists pushing us to the limits?

That is an excellent Idea. I would like to play with the manipulator gun and the camera. Remember that part? Amaaaazing.

Thank you for saying what I pointed out three posts ago.

There will be a tutorial. Somewhere in City 17 Gordon is gonna have to have a place of Refuge. A safe haven. Im sure the tutorial would take some place like that. With maps of City 17, pictures, showing you how to use any new gadgets you have. etc etc.

I can't wait to sacrafice mine to mayan gods.

Its sooooo exciting.

Uhh...did it really matter the way I wrote it? They are the same keys.

As to your question razor, w=move forward, a=strafe left, s=backpedal, and d=strafe right.
