LAN party: Is it typical to have to bring your own PC?

Never been to a LAN Party. Everyone I know plays PS2 or X-Box. I have no idea how I would transport everything. My PC weighs about 10 lbs. and my monitor is about 12 lbs. Not to mention the games, my mouse, my keyboard, and all the other jazz. Anyone want to invite me to their LAN Party?

EDIT: I do play C & C: Generals over a LAN with my Dad a lot. I wouldn't consider it much of a party. Oh, and we play Desert Combat, StarCraft, and Diablo II together too. :E

That is a really light monitor, mine weighs 40 pounds.

You play with your dad? Cool, I can't imagine my dad playing on the computer. Its not that hes got anything against it, he just isnt particullaly interested. Any time he needs something done on a computer has just gets my mum or my brother to do it.



So you paly Generals? Would that be Zero Hour? Maybe we could play a game some time...I prefer playing against the comp though, as most Human Human games end up being really crappy for me because i dont like just winning i like to mess around a bit to.

I would love to play, but I don't own Zero Hour. I heard it was mediocre. ;(
EDIT: My dad plays Far Cry. :E He sucks badly, though.

To be honest its not fantastic but it improves a lot on the original Generals. It basically adds everything they said would be in Generals in the first place. There a a good number of new maps, the single player missions are really fun (well, especially if you liked Generals) and really i find it hard playing without all the new units and abilities...I just feel so limited
