Latest VAC update snags 10,000

GJ Valve..but they have a lot more work to do yet.
 
not really... ive once again completely quit the game. Every single server that i join there is a cheater, and no it isnt just someone who is "really good" often times they will admit that they are cheating and tell us to " go cry about it" everyone that i know personally that plays the game cheats, and they have never been caught, people how are caught some how get back into the game without buying it again. I think that the cheating problem in CS is just beyond repair.
 
I got VAC banned.

I never cheated, I did however lend my account details to w4e.....
 
Lol, a friend of mine was banned from all VAC servers because he had been cheating XD

heh i used to go to gaming cafes pc's slap on a ***** tag and have a ball =) then they started wondering why they keep getting banned lol so i had to stop

Why do cheaters call them selves pros? You have a program do your pwning for you. You suck. You no pro. End of story.

Meanwhile my 17 year old brother who has been coding CS hacks for 4 years will continue to laugh at Valve as he hacks on his Steam account with his VAC-proof (since they don't change DLL's or EXE's) home-brewed goodies.

Congrats on getting 10,000 idiots banned who don't know how to properly hack, they probably didn't even know how to use their hacks in the first place if they were dumb enough to use ones that are detectable.

And what the hell is the point of hacking anyway? It's not like it produces any tangible rewards or is fun in any way... Stupid haxxers.
 
I've hacked in other games before. It's fun for awhile, but then it gets boring.
 
I played on my usual server today, though just chock full of hackers. The super obvious kind. One guy was only able to kill me shooting through doors. Another used speeds to just be a goofball. Others were more malicious, less obvious.

It didn't bother so much that people were using them, but when my score started suffering (and with that, my mood) because of illegitimate deaths I got pretty agitated.
It's one thing to help out your game a little but it's anothing thing entirely when people do it just to screw with everyone and make the experience frusterating. I wish death via repetitve blunt trauma to those people.

What an utterly pointless thread revival, for a truly stupid post. So your little brother has been making hacks since 13, believable indeed, don't bother posting again please.

So, considering this thread is alive again, how are people finding the cheat situation right now? On CS 1.6 I've seen relatively few cheats of recent, how is CS Source? I'm sure there are less cheats now than months gone by, so something is working.

I'm seeing more now than ever, but I can point them out a lot better than I could a year ago.

I also play on a server that people tend to target on a daily basis. :|

I get comments like "Lol dis servur is not vac secured so cheats r ok" and I just let out a big sigh, because no, if an admin were here you'd be banned. ):

I occasionally see the odd one or two on my clans server every month or so (not for very long mind you ;)). Certainly the problem is still on ongoing, but it's nothing like it used to be before Vacs. I'd like to see Valve make some headway with DoD:S tbh, we run a server for that as well, and there are definitely quite a few wallhacks and aimbots doing the rounds in that.

I used to cheat all the time during cs1.6, once i moved to css I started using my skills.

And no, I don't cheat. I don't even own a source game. But I've been thinking about registering my retail HL platinum collection to steam for a while now, in case I ever lose my CD keys. But then, when I hear the stories of all these people who got innocently banned and had to contact support and get support tickets, emails to get their games back, I just back down.

Steam is death, I tell ye.

You know, you can still play singleplayer games even if you are banned from multi IIRC. You probably should register them just in case.
