So many people whining about the delays..

Would you rather that Valve bow to pressure, and release a substandard product? Isnt it better to take your time and do something right, than to rush through and spend even more time fixed what you didnt get right in the first place?

People are calling Gabe a coward, because he wont make time in his busy schedule (remember, he is making the game after all) to come and read all the nasty comments in regards to his character, his mother and any other convenient target - he probably figures that no matter what he said, you wouldnt believe him, so why waste precious time and breathe.

Think of it as sex - if you take you time, do it right, do it long, do it like a MAN, you both glow afterward... but if you rush through, finish quickly and sloppily, she's going to ask you "two minutes? surely you can do better, little boy"... But then it takes a REAL MAN to understand that eh?

anyways the problem here is with the new members ...the members who've been around awhile know better than to complain after every delay (I'm not talking about myself cuz I tend to flame peeps who bash valve)

If the Single-player is finished and ready to go, then yes - I would rather they release the game now and patch the bugs in Steam and the multiplayer later.

I don't care about the multiplayer right now anyway - I'm sure the single-player will have me wrapped up for a good two or three weeks anyway.

no, from what I can gather you need a PHILIPS screwdriver - otherwise it just won't happen. Standard screws are all well n good but they are a bitch to remove when the slot gets chewed up.

People need to understand that veteran members have been listening to wave after wave of people constantly bashing valve for almost a year now. I understand it happening maybe 2 months after Sept 30th 2003 but not now, we have heard it all and we are fed up with it.

Just sit back, shut up, and stop bashing a company because they won't tell you every little freaking detail that you want.

I havnt even been visiting this forum that much lately cause the past week it seems like all the new threads being made are people whining and complaining, however the delays are getting out of hand now valve shouldnt say anything at all IMO.

...It's just that there is so much dumb crap when there doesn't have to be. It sounds like they are over-mulitasking themselves. They are trying to fix steam like a mad mofo so they can sell HL2.

I realise that steam once again is the BOTTLE neck to our problems. People useing stolen keys and credit card fraud to steal games digitaly.

Don't they realise that steam is so vulnerable to stolen keys. I could own all Valve games with a simple CD-key gen. Once people crack HL2. (AND THEY WILL) they will use the reverse engineered CD-key gen to get as many HL2's as they want off steam.

It's so lame I don't know what to say.
