On IMDB, both Mike Shapiro and Harry S. Robins are credited with Barney's part, but Robins seems to have the most Barney entries to his name vs. Shapiro, who has 1 barney entry for HL2 and just "voices" for the other HL games.

Thing what I've been wondering when seeing these voice actor posts... Apparently, Vortigaunts can speak English ( Why else would at least one have a voice actor). I wonder where they learned that. One species that I would think of being able to speak is Shock troops from OpFor. They had a language, their sound files had names like "dup.wav" and the Stroop would say "dup" if you played it.

The Vortigaunts do talk to you in HL2. They're on your side, and working with you.

You could hear some english come from them in HL1, who's to say they havn't learned alot more?
