OMG voices!

Another classic The Last Starfigher line:

Grig: "Don't worry. I'll have it all figured out before we reach the Frontier."
* A sensor in the cockpit immediately starts beeping *
Alex: "What's that?"
Grig: (Dejectedly) "The Frontier."

LOL For such a small, crappy (but fun), little movie...it does have a lot of great moments.

Think that was one of the first movies with a LOT of computer generated scenes (which as someone pointed out, looked good then, but now kinda suck compared to real games coming out)....oh how the future has changed!

Hey, does anyone here know a real-life Breen? If it exists in the real world, it can't be a very common name...

Yeah, there are some Breen's in my neighborhood. And I beleive Breen is an Irish name. The family Im talking about is definitely Irish.

Well, hot damn. Breen's an Irish name? Isn't Wallace Irish too?

Or is it Scottish? I can never remember.

Wallace Breen... Mixed Scottish/Irish descent?

jimbones: Meh. It's official info. It doesn't neccessarily mean they can talk. Though, I doubt that particular actor would be hired just to burble at a microphone...

wow, cool, btw, who did the G-man?
pretty sure its the same guy who did Barney/Kleiner. If you listen to those two then imagine them together it does begin to sound familiar.

yep its quite obvious, (maybe a bit too obvious) thats why the G-man has that cool speech pattern, to further disguise his voice.

I just sent this letter to the webmaster for merle's site.

Subject: Just warning you, you're gonna get a lot of mail complaining about HL2 being stated as a Playstation game.

I'm a just a concerned Gamer. A lot of us are in big
anticipation of Half-life 2, and merle's website was
featured in this post on Halflife2.net
http://www.halflife2.net/forums/showthread.php?t=22884&page=3&pp=15

One thing many have noticed is that you mentioned HL2
to be a playstation game. This could be further from
the truth. with this recent exposure chances are
you're going to get many more mails (if you haven't
already) complaining about this. Anyway to make
things clear:

- Half-Life 2 was deleloped primarily for the PC, and
was never considered for the PS2. An XBOX version is
also underway, but it is not the proprietary format.

-Playsatation 2 (which isn't even a company) did not
devlop HL2 valve did. It would only right to give them
full credit.

Okay now we've got that cleared up.

If you'd like to find actual video(both high and low
res) demos of Some scenes in HL2 with Alyx (Merle's
character) in them here
http://planethalflife.com/half-life2/

There are two vids:
- Kleiner's lab: An video featuring her character and
another, Dr. Kleiner.
- Tunnels: A video where Alyx appears breifly after
short forray into a sewage system.

As you can understand I'm merely a fan that wants the
correct information displayed, and I'm only here to
help. Remember HL2 is a game that is expected to
herald in a new generation of games, and anyone who's
aided in its production is going to get a lot of
respect.

I KNEW MOSSMAN SOUNDED FAMILIAR, 24 Season 2 alert.
Who was she? (DEFINITELY season 2 right? If it's 3 and you spoil it for me... Oh there'll be trouble)

As for the guy who's playing the Vortigaunts!? That's very interesting...

I love that there's often a vague resermblance with the characters appearance in the game and in real-life. Well, with the exception of the Vortigaunt. Sort of.

She played Lynne Kresge, she was Palmers advisor for most of the season, the only notable scene i remember was when she fell like 10 floors and survived rofl.

Oh dear god you acctully spent time writing that email.. thats really really bad man!

Wel I say we back it up and spam the webmaster's address with complaints. It being proactive man!

Oh yeah! I liked her, she was great. Until SPOILER (perhaps. If you're very late)

Mike turned into the biggest tw*t ever.

You can read again. Late late late.
Also, she was quite fit. Bugger, I really need a girlfriend. Fapfapfap...

It looks like these voice actors will become a real gamestarz, after HL2 will be unleashed upon us.

Check out my response
