Man, I am about to finish a 8 hour CSS update... 300 minutes of updates and the minutes were slowly turning into hours and this is very odd for me since I have a 512kb DSL connection :|

It is 49 minutes remaining and the minutes are melting away so then I can FINNALY use the bots. I played alot of DDR to pass the time

So, are the bots as cool as everyone are saying when they are rubbing it in?

I had to wait all night, and guess what... It's still going. Only 15 minutes left, though. :|

Everyone I know (who has the same internet connection) who updated CS:S did thier's in like 20 minutes. It took me over 8 hours :|

I still haven't got the freaking update, and it's 18 january 12pm here in holland, and I tried restarting freaking steam for a couple times allready, and I saw on my servers the tiedes allready yesterday.
But anyway once I have the bots, how do you use them, can you add them via the creat game menu or do you have to type something in the console.

took about 15-20 minutes, wasn't that big was it? Anyone know?

3 hours??? wth? i just started downloading it, went off for a drink, came back and it was finished. like, 10 minutes

Same here, started DLing the second it came out, walked away for 20 mins or so, it was done when I came back.

I wish I could explian it, ranga. I am with TPG but I doubt that has to do with anything

What the hell is wrong with your connections? Do you all live in New Zealand or something? It took me less than 5 minutes on cable, just as nearly every other Steam update has taken me. I hear a lot of complaints about Steam, but honestly, I have never had a problem so far (other than the Friend's network being down).

"Location: Gold Coast, Australia"

...Shut up, Dupont =P

I was using Content Server 4 so now I hate it

i think valve should put the updates in seperate gcf files i really do because i think it'd be easier to back up and what not

I have to get 3 more % of the game ;(

Exellent, its out!

How good is it? :D

Wow im a 56ker n I got it in 2 hours. ^_^
That says it all, thats proof it must be the strain on steam.

You guys know you can see the speed of ur dl by going into the monitor menu right?

It has to be the servers. I tried DLing it last night and it said 2 hours or something and i did it this morning and it said 3 minutes and Im on 5MB cable.

Took me only about 5 minuits and Im on DSL. The bots are pretty realistic, its worth the wait.

Took me less than ten minutes, but yeah, the bots are surprisingly fun to play with. Of course, it's much better to play online with real competition but the bots are actually a pretty decent substitute if you crank up their difficulty.

it took me 20-30 minutes to dl it with a 2mbit connection from germany...

Yeah, me neither. It has worked flawlessly since the very moment I started to install Half-Life 2

Took me about 10 minutes. Bots are "OK". I'm having trouble trying to get them to learn on blackhawkdown_s.
