Oh, fair enough. There is an element of that - going down there isn't a guaranteed shag by any means. It's just that there's a collection of likeminded people. But at the end of the day, it's with the understanding that there's not going to be a relationship there. Not likely, anyway.
The vibe is different every night...first time I was there, pretty much everyone just chatted at the bar all night. Which was fine by me.
Lastnight I got to shag three different women at the same time. That was cool too.

To me it's a totally separate entity from relationships. It's just a nice place to chill at the end of the week with a decidely different bunch of people. If stuff happens, stuff happens.
 
I really don't care for clubbing or chasing.

Besides. I'm a boozehound at heart. Paying for entry fees, expensive drinks, and crap music isn't really all that appealing.

yeah i agree with that, i never go to clubs alone, usually pissed off my head together with some friends just out to have fun

I like to be straight up with people and I like people to be straight up with me. As for what I spend my time doing, I spend about 55 hours a week working and other than that, I chill at home, go to the pub or watch DVDs with friends, spend time with my mum (as the chance of her living to see 2008 is very small indeed) or research what treatments are a possibility for her disease and how we could get hold of them.
And I go to my club on Friday or Saturday night.

Nightclubs are a ripoff, and I don't find them at all entertaining. I can't dance, you can't really talk to anyone and the atmosphere is so fake.
The club I go to runs from 9pm to 5am, entry is ?30 a time and the drinks are cheaper than in a pub (though it's bring your own alcohol). It's also the most nicely decorated bar area I've ever seen.
Now that's a bargain. Getting home on the night buses is hateful though, especially at this time of year. First time I went, I missed the last second bus and got stranded in a fairly crime-ridden inner city area for hours until ordinary transport started running again. Had a homeless guy for company.

Yeah, I generally only do it when other people are and we're all pretty smashed beforehand.

Don't get me wrong, they can be fun. But I'd much rather do something else.

Well basically, my mate pulled some bird who then pulled another bird, and the 2 lasses got into each other and were really going at it. That was so hot.
Was my first time actually going into a public club, been to private night functions in a couple of clubs in town. Definitely gonna go down often, awesome time. Just a bit heavy on the wallet really.

about the swinger vs club thing, i guess it's to each and his own, and i suppose there's alot of difference between our countries when it comes to clubs. girls here are extremely timid though, most seem to be out just to do have fun with their female girls, so for my part its mostly going out with my friends and taking jabs at my female friends. :p

Thanks...uncertainty keeps me going to be honest. I'm still hopeful that she'll be able to beat it, but on the other hand, I've kind of gone through the grieving process already. We've only known her diagnosis for about a month now, I was really upset at first but through fighting it I've come to accept it. I'm ok with it now.
If she does die from it, I imagine I'll go back to stage one though. I'm particularly not looking forward to her gradually losing her function and personality until she's just existing...it's a brain tumour she has. Horrible way to go.
She lost the ability to speak for a while, she could make noises and use rudimentary body language but her communication ability was kind of like a baby. They've shrunk the thing since then, and those symptoms went away. A taste of what's to come, I think...

Probably. London is a very insular place, nobody talks to anybody. The same is true in clubs. It doesn't make such environments a whole lot of fun as far as I'm concerned.

Also, I can't say people in my area take the same view as the original poster. Several of the people I know lost their virginity quite a time ago, but most people still haven't got that far, and they arn't considered uncool at all.

I think, considering this is a gamer forum, that most posters have a more virgin percentage compared to others you could talk to. Anyways, if it's not the horny little kid senario then you could call it "I'm a Virgin, By Choice!"

Im 17, 18 in a few weeks, still a virgin, dont give a shit. I am completely against ****ing a girl just because of their looks and how hot they are, would only possibly do that if i was incredibly pissed lol

I have had one girlfriend for like 2 years when in secondary school, to which it was all kissing and sex wasn't even thought of tbh, now in final year of college and haven't had a girlfriend yet, but dont care. I have many, many mates, and only two of them I know have lost their virginity, one of them gets it all the time somehow lol. But for the rest of us its about meeting the right person first, if they want it and you want it, then ill by all means go for it.
