Here is my latest work, a low poly character. Still a work in progress. Created in Maya: 830 polys.

the crotch for the guy needs some work, it just ends... modeling crotches suck... try looking at how a pair of boxers are sewn togeather and where the seams are...
ok so off of the topic of crotches
his abdomimals could also use some work try moving your verticies out and give them a bit of a buldge how the muscles actually look
your hands dont look too bad except for the fact that the thumb is in line with the rest of the fingers. move that back and point it out from the hand a bit.

so far its good for how many polys you're using, there are parts you could optomise to cut back some more without much of a noticable difference but that can be done later

give him a head.. that'll knock the poly count up, by that time it won't be too low poly. What wazz pants said makes loads of sense even if the crotch talk made me edgy.

wazzpants has the idea, but the hands need real work. fingers are almost completely round, but yours are more like claws. your problem is probably that your hand is just too thick. it seems like a lot of polys for what it is, but the practice is good.

The only reason I am not adding genitals or even a more detailed crotch is because I will eventually be adding pants to the character.

I just want there to be a pre-exiting naked model structure to be inplace becaue the clothes are not going to be covering a larger area of the character, o things like arms and legs will be exposed.

As for the hands, ill just have to fool around with them.

By the way I am on vacation and have no way of accesing Maya, so no work for me :D

the crotch doesnt necessarily need to be more detailed, just better formed for animations, as atm it wouldnt be pretty when it deforms.
