I also thought this was going to be a thread about cancer. Pants cancer. I found a lump in my pants this morning while doing my regular self-check, so I'm going to see the doctor about it tomorrow. Good news is that, at my age, there's a more than 90% chance that it's just a ruffle of fabric.
