hi all only my second model, polycount of 2,100 most of them being in the pin :-/ i c wat i can do about that.

Wait a minute... you made a grenade out of 2,100 polys!? That's ehm, a bit on the high side ;) if you actually want to use it in-game.
 
i know m8 its only my second ever model and i said about the high polys and y, i turned detail down in main sphere and the pin and now only 1,000
 
is it a 1000 poly's , or a 1000 faces ?
big difference :)

in 3Dsmax select the model (control + A)
rightmouse click -> turn into editable mech
then look at the polygon counter
that way you see the faces (not the poly's)
i tell you this, cause i made the same mistake about
a month ago :/
 
i mean faces then cause i do it that way , like i said i new to this app, some feed back would be nice tho :-/
 
Let's see a wireframe so we can help you optimize it a little better. Either way, use a geosphere for the body if you haven't already. It is much more efficient and the difference is negligible, especially when smoothed.
 
it looks fine, jsut, a bit high poly. Otherwise it's pretty accurate.
 
Texture needs a lot of work on it, get some reference images off google

i know m8 i do not claim to be a skinner, i just tried it to c if i could get something on there!
