Make up a weapon/device for HL2

An angry-kitty anti-personel mine (ever played NOLF2?).
And a rubik's cube, to baffle enemies.

An idea for your weapon is to make the blob quite large (it expands after leaving the launcher which is semi-grenade launcher). Now to animate it, make it organic like the monster where it can stretch and stuff. Think of 4 balls inside of an organic bag of sorts which bounce around inside the bag, but they can pass right through each-other. Should make a really cool looking floppy thing.

lol NOLF and NOLF2 were great games. Looking forward to the new one

If we put a "Flubbergun" in our mods, we will have to modify the appearance and name of the ammo to avoid getting our pants sued off by disney.:E

Gordon should steal some of the alien slave's electro-jewlery, you know, the green lightning shot? You were able to be an alien slave in a bonus mission of HL decay for PS2, and it worked well.

It worked like this:
The longer you hold down the trigger, the more damage it does (up to about 5 seconds before it resets). Shooting organic things also increases your health slightly.
That would be so cool to use!

I'm surprised there was never a mod allowing some of these alien weapons, especially if one could be got on the PS2 version

Me would like some kind of organic weapon (like that bug-firing-thingy), that sort of became a part of you when you picked it up, like melting into your arm or something like that....
 
^ Humans can't actually use the eletro-bracelets in decay, but you can play as an alien, so you get a gist of what it would be like.

They're actually pretty hard to use, but there's unlimited ammo and the life-increase feature to balance it out.

They already have that. It's on HL2.net's weapons page...but they insist it's a Grenade Launcher. Watch the Tunnels Vid and you'll see I'm right.
 
I don't think you can use it to call in friendly planes though... Great idea btw. It would be like the spore grenade sorta.

Okay, since the headcrabs take over a human body, and there is an open wound in the midsection, it would be a cool idea to have a 'salt shooter' which would melt the organs from the inside and then getting to the muscles and things. A 'neet' effect I think.

A lightsaber and thermal detonators will do :D

Also, a midieval mod with maces and haleberds would be kickass. JOUST ANYONE?!
 
headcrab sack

primary fire- scoop up live headcrabs

secondary fire- throw bag full of headcrabs, headcrabs get released and attack any nearby targets like usual.

If they survive, get another sack and scoop them up again without getting hurt
 
Keep it simple , just two feet to kick some asses, the zombie can kick what they find in their way, so we could start playing soccer in City 17!!

woah cheers! downloaded when i saw your post and been playing it, thats a lot of fun.. Xen levels that aren't too bad, a first!

Anytime Fenric, now I can go back to playing savage until some next gen games start showing up.
 
A freeze gun.

It would shoot out a continuous stream of liquid nitrogen at a high velocity in primary fire. Enemies would get frozen solid IF exposed for a long time. A slight bump would cause em to fall (possible with hl2 physics system) and shatter. Light bursts of this would just slow enemies down (due to the high velocity).

Alternate fire would shoot out half a meter long ice spikes for impaling purposes :cheese:. It would kill with about 1-2 shots in the cheast. Since it's powerful, it would require charging (to super freeze :dork:). At full charge, say, 3 spikes can be shot.

Dayum, would love to see this in HL2. What I'm imagining right now is so cool, can't put it into words exactly.

I would like to see a nail gun too. This would be similar to alternate fire of freeze gun (leaving out the charging bit). The nails would differ from the spikes in that the nails would be shorter than the spikes and made of metal. Unlike the ice spikes, these nails would get stuck in most surfaces.

Hope some MODers make it; these weapons and another MOD I would like to see in HL2; seeing player model in first person view (made a topic on this in 'developement' forum).
 
I really liked the force powers in Jedi Oucast: force push/pull to throw your opponents against walls or off a cliff, maybe under a vehicle lol. Of course there was the force lightning and force mind trick but one I really loved was force grip: an invisible hand grabs the opponent by the throat and you can lift him up until he chokes. Of course you can also throw him away against other opponents

no really.. what hurts more than someone throwing a mug of hot drink in your face.. apart from a crowbar to the genitals. It would momentarily blind them, throw them off guard and unable to shoot as they grab their face in agony and unable to protect themselves
 
Just some special manouvers such as being able to snap necks and grabbing them from behind to use them as human shields.

And the Distraction Camera's from Splinter Cell. Those things bloody rule :)

God, I love silly weapons.

Speaking of which, if the Crowbar in HL2 is a physically simulated bar, couldn't we make a physically simulated "Boxing-Glove-In-A-Mallet", like in those old cartoons?:E

If we have that then we MUST have the ACME black hole. Stick it on any surface and throw objects through it.. Just link it to a large black empty and deep box elsewhere in a level and then you can use it as a trap or just to remove dead bodies you don't want the enemy to see :)

Yeah, and a portable hole could also be used to store things in places inaccessable to enemies.:E

That would be really cool. Does that black hole use the same technique as the "highway going into the horizon" painted on a massive concrete wall which only applies to roadrunner and not wile e. coyote?

lmao now that would be a funny weapon to have.. what was it now, either a premade painting the coyote ordered from ACME or that really cool paintbrush that seemed to automatically paint everything for you (I always wanted one of those as a kid.. finally got one - photoshop :))

then there was the train tracks wasn't there, lay down these tracks and a train just seemed to turn up heh

oh and the bird seed with a thousand uses but again never seemed to effect the road runner, just Wile

this goes back to when a few of us were discussing how much fun a road runner mod would be (I think Brian Damage was in that convo too, I think we share liking silly weapons :)).. Someone has to make one of those just for all these daft weapons and devices they could have :D

haha oh yes them too, they'd be a fun device for a game

and that large steel barrier that appears out of the road with a deformable mesh for when you fly into it on the rocket skates :D
