It is, to anyone who respects the drinking of Bitter.

Budweiser we get over here, is made here though...

People are kidding themselves with beer. It just doesn't taste nice, face it! Bitter I can stomach, but I still don't really want to drink it. Lager is just fizzy pee.

No it's just a horrible beer.
But then the only lager we have that plays on its British origins is Carling. A foul concotion brewed from the finest barley, hops and pig's urine. Its saving grace is its cheapness and that the Extra Cold variety is cold enough that it can't be tasted. Just don't let it go warm dammit!
Bitter's ok, but it ain't a patch on cider. Yaarrrr, Oi be f'rm th'West coontreee.

They can export the team to the US for all I care. In fact they should.

lol, export one of the most popular teams in the UK to the US? The black hole of the football world. That'd be the day.

No offence but your version of football is rather stupid, considering you spend most of the time actually holding the ball.

I thought he was making the point that our version of Football (the proper version) has a very small following in the United States compared to the rest of world. He didn't mention the American version of the sport.

I was making a point that your version of football isn't very popular over here. But I don't see why you had to point out anything about our football. I like your version of football, which is my choice of sport to play. I've been playing for damn near 15 or 16 years now in summer leagues, winter leagues, high school, college, you name it. I also watch the English Premier games, when they're actually on tv here, every chance I get, because it beats the hell out of the joke of a league the MLS is here.

The whole reason I made the point was just to point out it'd be pretty dumb to move one of the most popular franchises in the world over to a country which really could care less. But that hardly reflects my views on the sport.

It's kinda worrying that the new owner of Man Utd hasn't even set foot in Old Trafford before.

Im a Man Utd fan, but glazier isnt, hes just a money grabber, doesnt care for the club at all, doesnt even like football. thats all i can say.

If you hate him now, just wait until he climbs on the bandwagon and tries to pretend like he actually cares.

Meh, who cares. Man U suck anyway, hope he has the ground demolished and council houses built on it :P I'm an Arsenal fan.

grr, i hate arsenal :P

didnt a team that sucked beat you twice this year? :p

KoreBolteR said:
does he still own tampa bay? soemthing like that?

Yeah, he's also owner of the Tampa Bay Bucaneers. And too him, there's probably no real difference between the sports. Just that they're called football and they make money.

Yeah but still, Arsenal have their bad days :cheese: haha!...:P

It was a joke. I simply found it funny that your version is also called Football when they're holding it more often than not.

Tut, all you glory supporters.

Come on the Boro!

Well, he comes from miles away from Manchester and knows nothing about football. He's a sterotypical Man Utd fan.

Tee Hee.

Yeah, I suppose that is pretty ridiculous. It started as rugby here in the states and people just started calling it football since the emphasis was on kicking the ball through the uprights. Throw in a bunch of years worth of rule changes and you've now got American Football, or Americanized Rugby and the name Football just stuck.

Rugby is also known as Rugby Football. It's football using the rules of the school of Rugby.

heh, if those guys didn't where pads they'd be practically dead by now. Most American football players have a tough enough time living past their 50s and 60s these days as it is just from injury related problems after their careers are over. Just a month or two ago their was an Arena Football player that was killed from being tackled and getting hit in the back as he was going down, and that's with all the pads.

lol pwned and in the upcoming fa cup too methinks, remember keano lost it in the tunnel @ highbury? badass, i have the unedited version on my hd, its hilarious.

I'm more of a Celtic fan myself (yeah I know, they're not English Premier League like the rest of the teams mentioned). But it's damn hard being a fan of any European team when your here in the states just because the only way to actually watch a game is by subscribing to extra channels through our cable or dish providers.

Did get to see the game a few years back where Celtic was one of the first teams in a long ass time to finally beat Manchester in Old Trafford though. That was a treat.
