Here's a crazy idea. Hands mode:
Left mouse = left arm
Right mouse = right arm
To throw the ball with both hands, hold down both mouse buttons, pull mouse down and back, then push up while letting go. Overarm throw would be press left, pull right back horizontally, then snap forward. And so on.
Ok, sounds like the interface from hell now, but when we all have 3 dimensional mice in 2005 it'll be cool.

the mice are 3 dimensional, that's why you can put your hand on them

Ahhhhhh....yes reminds me of a mod from Tribes 1 called "Tribes Football".It was fun but took practice because you used jetpacks.And for someone to loose the football(which was more like a box)a opposeing team member had to fly in to the guy with the football.But you had to go fast you couldn't just be a foot away and do this.....you had to be going fast and jump into the guy with the football.
