[MAP Release] STALKYARD2

Looks interesting, but I'd prefer new maps over remakes :)

Best remake I've seen so far though :)

Looks nice from the screens, but most people including me will be put off by having to register to download D:

Can't you get it hosted somewhere else?
 
Most of the screens look good, although the shot of the main interior room with the boxes looks way off. That room was entirely filled with boxes, whereas in this there only seems to be a couple (unless all the others got destroyed?). Also, ignoring the box issue, the textures in that room are very 'busy' - there're dirty marks all over everything, particularly the floor. Perhaps when playing the map this isn't a problem, however.
 
I'd download it but I dont want to register, so I'll skip this one.
 
I just played it on a server (lots of lag, but that didn't matter).

There are a few problems with this map, both in and of itself, and in relation to the first one.

Original problems:
- The elevator you replaced with the two planks of metal, you can get stuck down behind them with no way (or at least, no easy way) to get out of.
- The dark vent is very easy to camp inside
- The health charger in the hallway should be at player eye-level, right now it's way too high.
- Where is the i-rifle? Found plenty of orbs but can't find the gun.
- The chain-link fences around the outside of the map are a bit restrictive, I'd suggest opening some more holes in them.
- The large green cubboards get in the way, they seem to be really heavy for their size and can't be picked up by the GG, but because of their weight they don't move very far when shot with primary fire.

In relation to the first map:
- This one is way too small. Perhaps it may be the same size, but the action in HL2 MP is a little faster than in HL, in this map at least.
- The main room has poor flow due to the big thing down the middle, and is nothing like the original one. And as I suspected, the floor is absolutely ghastly when you play it in-game, a real eyesore. Other players on the server would have prefered if the main room were kept more to the original style - lots of nooks and crannies for each individual gun that required accurate use of jumping to acquire, along with a 'main drag' down the center. This room also seems to be a lot smaller - a lot shorter and not quite as wide.
- The outside court-yards in the original version also had boxes in them with weapons hidden in and around them, be nice to see this returning.
- The ladder up to the crossbow room in the original could be duck-jumped and grabbed, in this one it's impossible.
- Missing the mounted gun, although not sure if that's a big deal as no one really used it that much anyway.


However, it is by far the best looking 3rd party map I have seen to date, but I'm not sure if it plays as well as the original map did. Just please, lose the disgusting floors!

Tried the map, it doesnt really resemble Stalkyard, its a nice map and all, but its not Stalkyard.

yeh, i know, but i not have time for fixing all bugs, in-game testing with friends [only one time] etc ;)
so, map now its playeble, i may release 1.1 ver :D

i cant make same as stalkyard - hl2dm not have longd jump and many old weapons.
