Mass Effect 2 - CGI Cinematic

The thresher maw popping up behind Grunt was awesome.

I hope the thresher maws are more like that in the game. They were a little wimpy in the first one, after reading my "sole survivor" Shepard's history I thought they would be a bit scarier than they were.

Watched this earlier on youtube. That Thresher Maw part was awesome.

Seriously. All you have to do is drive around in the Mako and blast it.

This. The first time one reared out of the ground at me I was like "HOLY SHIT emotion time because Shepard has a history with these things" but nope nothing, you just drive around a little out of its range and shoot pea shooters and potato guns at it.

Nice extention, lets hope the combat turns out that good in the final product. I just completed mass effect 1 now, and realized that I hadn't completed it in the first place, i was going through the Prothean ruins, then battling through the Citadel etc and I don't remember ANY of it, at all. I seem to remember the battle with Seran in the Council chambers but thats about it, everything else was new to me, so either I thought I had completed it and hadn't, or they updated it with extra content. I was very moved by the Prothean VI system you talk to on Ilos, about what they had to do survive the Reaper attacks, and the statis pods. I hope there is someway we can find a real Prothean, maybe one that survived after all this time, or some that managed to reproduce, in one of the uncharted parts of the galaxy.

Going to be interesting to see how Shepard intends to fight the Reapers considering it took about 20 Alliance ships to take Sovereign down lol. Also going to be interesting in finding out how the Reapers escaped the Dead Space into the galaxy considering the Citadel was back under control. Really, really can't wait for this game.

I find it obvious that these new enemy are the dark servants of the reapers, it makes sense that they need a sub spices to do the dirty work for them, in order to do what they do, I wondered how the Reapers collected what they needed from the planets they were going to invade, so it obvious too that their taking revenged for their masters defend at the citadel, anyway who knows, they might want to become masters themselves or want to finished the job that Sovereign couldn't

Anyway the plot reminds me of babylon 5 if they are doing what I think there doing.

I forget what the new enemies are called, but they're abducting humans to mutate them. I forget what the article said their main purpose was, though. For some reason they're taking a special interest in humans.

The geth are beginning to break up into different groups. Some are religious while others are not. One of the geth, who has a piece of your armor, becomes one of your squad mates. I think he might be obsessed with you.

IIRC they're called "collectors".

Its certainly possible, but that seems rather too obvious, even for bioware. The collectors are far to heavily set up as being linked to the reapers (myterious abduction of colonies, weapons far in advance of what anyone else uses, etc). I think it may be a double bluff, but then again I may be giving bioware too much credit.

Just watched the full trailer. Damn, they had Thane pulling off some pretty impressive moves...too bad they won't be presented that way in the actual game. Can't complain, this is CGI, of course. But it does a great job of getting me excited.
