While reading the Half Life 2 interviews posted on this site, it has come to my attention that there has been a issue discussed about the problem of giving, or taking, a NPC weapon. My suggestion is that the player should be able to right-click (or another possible button) when close to a friendly NPC and aiming at his/her torso or his/her weapon (holstered or in-hand) should let the player make him/her drop his/her weapon (or exchange weapons with the player, either way works).
This may not be the best idea, but I am a very creative person and I am glad to make any suggestions to improve what should be my favourite game when it comes out whenever. I am not a die-hard fan of this game as I have never played HL1 before, but I am very interested in the ideas of Valve and others working on Half Life 2, and would love to be a part of it.
My real name is Ravi Gupta, and I am a fifteen year old attending school in Toronto, Canada, and I would sincerely hope you take me seriously, not taking any factors into account other than my creativity, interest, and my academic and extracurricular achievements. In grade 10 I have an average of 86%, was on my school basketball team for grade 8 (trying for senior, not junior now), have 127 hours of community service (soon to be 167 hrs) and have an immortal interest in the world of computer and videogames; especially in Valve games and Half Life 2.
