Mesh Comes Back

I am literally making this face right now. :O
 
Been following this for a while, seriously for their four year absence I've been on there youtube page everyday just waiting for anything. News of the comeback came a month or so ago and I almost jumped out of my seat XD

Awesome starting video, they should do that for all series from now on. And although AVP3 wasn't great I'm sure it will create some laughs. They had BETTER play Dead Space though.

Yeah, wtf. I remember visiting that site every now and then. There was a long absence and when they finally said something about coming with a new video quite soon, they disappeared again and their site went offline.
 
Man, I remember checking on these guys a couple of months ago, hoping for some new news....THIS IS AWESOME.

Aahaha awesome first video. According to their site they said that they are going to be releasing shorter videos because of the youtube 10 minute regulations, but that means they can release a new episode every week or two which is awesome. Kind like what Valve's episodes were meant to do but actually being successful time wise.

Haha that was awesome. He jumped just because he fired his gun. If anything this 4 year break has made him less manly.

Can't wait for the next ep.
 
Haha, the scariest game he played since FEAR was Settlers.
 
Idc how long it takes him to get through AVP as long as Dead Space is next on the agenda. He's probably going to have a simultaneous seizure/heart attack if he does. :p

Yeah, I agree. If anything AvP3 is less "scary" than Doom 3.
He should've just played survival mode. One dark chamber, endless supply of aliens, win.

Ok yeah, but they're building it up slowly. On the flip side they said they can release videos a lot more regularly than before.
 
Wow, I was just thinking about this last week. Even watched some of the old Doom videos. I really enjoyed the HL2 vids -- even though he wasn't scared obviously, still very funny.

And yeah, you could tell by the time he got to FEAR that he wasn't all that scared anymore, so I also hope the long break will have changed that :D.
 
He wasn't all that scared? Did you even watch the FEAR videos? For a start on the first video when Paxton Fettel clubs you around the head on the roof, thats probably the most scared I have ever seen him (and it was hilarious). And generally going through all the levels you can tell he was absolutely bricking it.
 
He just didn't scream as much because FEAR has less "IMA JUMP OUT OF A SHADOW AT YOU!" bits. You could tell he was still freaking out though, because there were a lot of points where he would just stop playing and say he doesn't want to do it anymore.
 
The best part in the FEAR videos was when he encounters those invisible assassins. "wha... what the ****?! ..... what was I supposed to do there?"

Are another memorable moment was just before the dude gets thrown through the window:

Mesh: 'You gotta wonder whats killing all these marines... *tries jumping up to look a shelf*
Mack: 'Well its not on top of the bookshelf...
 
Yeah, that whole part 2 video is great. The marine who cant get past the venetian blinds got me laughing good.

Maybe I just need to rewatch the FEAR vids again then, haha. For some reason I seemed to recall him handling most of it rather well scare-wise, but perhaps there were some more subtle freak-outs that I missed :p.

[edit] Ah, just watched the first vid. He does freak out quite a bit :D.
 
with the pace this is going, i expect he's going to be doing quite a few of these. i don't know much about AVP3, but hasn't he basically played the first five minutes over the span of 2 videos?

still funny, though.
 
Yeah seems to be quite a lot pace at the moment, but yeh that was rather hilarious. His comment about his arse clenching whenever the motion tracker goes off was fantastic haha. Don't see how he gets so scared though, I knew alien would come through that door at the end because it was just so obvious but still he goes OH SHI-

Liking the new videos though, it just allows for a shit ton of segments. Never played AvP myself so it's not my particular favorite, although I feel like it'll get better. Dead Space is what I eagerly await.
 
AvP is not particularly scary either, not compared to the original so although I'm enjoying these AvP ones I look foward to seeing him play something I shit my pants at as well, such as Dead Space.
 
I'm praying for Dead Space next too. Apparently Mack has already edited part 3 and 4, but they are just releasing weekly. Fair enough...I wish these episodes had a bit more to them though. 1 proper scare in 7 mins, geez!

Yeah, they could do with cutting out the bits where he's just standing still swinging the camera around talking crap becuase he's too scared to go on and get to the real scares.
 
I have suggested Dead Space multiple times on their forums, as many others have, yet Mack seems to ignore the posts and is looking into other games that are not so scary but are more like Half-Life 2 :/ Not a good sign. People continuously suggest Dead Space, Condemned, and the Penumbra games, but he doesnt acknowledge them, and simply said that Penumbras graphics "looks dated, the gfx were crap" but might have potential.
 
Did they ever really explain why they stopped last time? (I have seen their "we're back" video but it's just a parody of why they stopped).

I dunno, I don't really mind those bits because it's what I do when playing scary games :p.
Also his humour in those bits makes up for it.
