I was just thinking it'd be obvious because my friend just got his off, and I definetly notice. I got so used to him with them on (he had them for a long time, and I hadn't known him without them) that it was like, "WOAH" When he got them off.
 
People didn't notice I got mine until 2 years later. They were like, "Whoa, when'd you get braces?" I would tell them I've had em for 2 years and they'd be like no way. No one will really notice, only like your best friends but they could care less.
 
Same here actually. When I had braces, nobody noticed I had them for....ooh, six months at least.

Ha when I got braces when i was 12 the girls in my class were like "ooooh braces I wanna see". Probably just the novelty though.
 
erm... a cake concert is when the band Cake plays a concert. And it was free. Also, spacers, braces and the like really aren't that bad in my opinion. I mean, visually.

I don't want to generalize, but "gothic" (whatever you want to call them) girls are usually emotionally, uh, challenged. :P Problems, rebelling, blah, blah.

In short, unstable. ;) Seriously, all this gothic, punk crap... argh, it drives me insane. Stop whining, PLEASE. "I think I'm going to pierce my ear because I'll be sticking it to the MAN! WHOOOOOOOOOO!" Please. Granted, I know a guy who is my friend's cousin but he doesn't do the piercings and crap, and he's funny and "normal".

Goths are typically just outcast kids who think differently than others, but their ideas aren't accepted by the lot.

If you want to get really exact:

She doesn't wear makeup and is super nice? Super nice as in whore? I'm assuming so. She sounds more desperate than you are and since shes goth means she is not worth it. Tell her she will never be your gf but shes welcome to sleep with you. That's all goth girls are good for, but make sure to turn out the light so you don't have to look at her because she doesn't wear makeup and it goth.
