MGS4 is the only game that can save the PS3

I own the game and beat it twice. It feels nothing like Call of Duty. They were going for a more epic, one powerful man overcomes incredible odds type of thing that HL has. It had Ratchet and Clank style weapons, only more serious.

Have you played the game? It's obvious Insomniac was very much inspired by HL and a few other games.

It's also a great damn game. Definitely one of the best console FPS games I've played.

I havent played it at all but from what I hav played its not that great seriously

and is really similiar to call of duty,and it gets boring quicly cuz is very repetitive

Anyone else totally uninterested by the stealth genre at this point? High-tech gadgets and overly futuristic UIs are cool, sure, but it doesn't seem like any of them are any more fun to play than they were back on the original Playstation.

You haven't played it at all .... but from what you played it's not that great. Right. I value your opinion.

As to the other guy, yes I have played Goldeneye. I've also played Perfect Dark. I didn't say Resistance was the best, I said it was one of the best, but it's not as good as those two. I myself was very pleasantly surprised, best FPS game I've played in a long time, probably since HL2. The online is also pretty impressive.
