Micheal Jackson:What the hells going on?

Yup, child molesters do not make it very long in prison. You'd be surprised to see what a bank robber or gang banger thinks of a grown man who hurts children. It guarentees a few sharpended spoons between the ribs in the lunchline.

As they should be.

I don't think we're in a position to pass judgement.

That's up to the judge and jury.

However I will wildly engage in speculation, and hypocritically ignore my previous statement :) :p

If he is guilty, he should be judged as so and punished accordingly.

If he is innocent, he should be judged so, and the false accusers should be held accountable, just to set an example of how you can't do this kind of thing to people.

Of course, that's in a slightly more ideal world.

Jackson should be in jail right now... the judge issued a warrant for his arrest because he failed to show up at his court dates at the propper time... While other criminals are in JAIL for the duration of their trials... Mr. Jackson gets to stay in his rented condo.

Justice can't be served if it can't be served equally to everyone.

(the warrant for his arrest is supposed to make him well, get arrested and have some nice mandatory jail time)

EDIT: I saw the above on the news a few days back.. when he showed up in his PJs ... remember?

I would have granted Jackson bail too. He is not a flight risk really. Where can such a weird looking dude hide?

The judge issued the warrant because he felt like Jackson was yanking his chain, and you CANNNOT have a criminal trial going there without the Defendant. That would fubar the trial and cost the state millions to have a new one. Judges should issue warrants more often - i see heaps of cases where people ignore court orders and no1 does anything. If they were my orders, id be a lot more heavy handed.

The point I was making is well, he was never arrested.. even with the warrant out.

Hell, he should probably be in jail for almost throwing a baby out of a window... reckless endangerment anyone?

Quite frankly, I wouldn't be suprised at all if he is found guilty.. usually people who get abused themselves go an abuse others... but that is still not an excuse.

I'm not going to say yay or nay just yet.. I want to see how this plays out.

He was not arrested, because he came to the court in like 1 hour and 2 minutes or something after he was supposed to be there, with an 1 hour deadline imposed by the judge. If he did not attend the court, he would have been arrested. I would probably make him stay in the cells overnight for contempt if he did it to me but grant him bail again the next day.

No jurisdiction by Californian authorities - the act happened in Germany. They aren't going to charge him in Germany clearly, if there is something there that he can be charged with (I don't know if there is?)
