Mind F***ing movies

Well hiya there,

I just watched Fight Club from david Fincher for the 6th time now, and I still think its my favorite movie. Personally, I'm quite interested in other movies similiar to fight club.
I call those movies "mind-****ing" movies, because they're really quite twisted, wierd and strange. I'd like to know your opinion on such movies and if you know any other wierd and twisted movies (anyone seen "donnie darko" for example?).

Pulp Fiction isn't really a m1nd**** movie, imho.

I'd say check out Memento, or The Usual Suspects.
Coupla years old now, but both still very good.

If you're in a funny mood i'd recommend Being John Malkovich.

I'd give you more, but i can't think of really good ones right now.

hmmm, I never saw that movie, but Is it just the over-top brutality that makes this movie a mind-****er?
I'd never watch the movie after all I heard about it... Its simply too sick for me.

Dayum.. that's quite a list. Lots of cool movies on there.
Brazil, Cube, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Donnie Darko, Twelve Monkeys, all great films imo.

But i don't see the mind****-factor of some you mentioned.
Menace II Society? Hahaha. Eyes Wide Shut? I admit Nicole Kidman has a fine ass, but ZzZzZ goes for the rest of the movie.

As for Cannibal Holocaust - the brutality in there is pretty gross but the whole Documentary type of filming makes you wonder if this is real or not. Not a great movie tbh... but thats just my opinion.

We had a topic like this on an other forum were we listed our mind (you know what) movies and this was the list at the end of the topic.

People look differently at these sort of movies and some think that pure violence would be enought too qualify as a mind ****ing movie.

Anyway I like the more subtle mind****ers, like Mulholland drive, Donnie Darko, Cube,Requiem for a Dream, Being John Malkovich, PI, Kafka and Brazil. Not Menace II society or Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels in my eyes these are more action movies with a twist, but not mind****ers, still good movies though

I guess what makes up a mind****ing movie to me might not be to other people.

Violance isnt neccarily a mind****er.

Waking Life...very mind f***ing movie.

Lucid Dreaming owns HL2 HL3 and HL4......its your own virtual reality and my mind is blown at how crazy that sh!t can be. Look it up on google, or try the movie or try the forums at www.ld4all.com .

It will definitely be the experience of your boring monotonous life.
