MMO's and EverQuest2

Is anyone here looking forward to the MMO's of 04, especially EQ2? The games graphics totally rock for a mmo.

What are your opinions on MMO's and which will you be playing if any?

Everquest 2 will be the best MMORPG out for a long time, I am getting it for sure.

I'm not excited about any MMO's at the moment. Guild Wars was OK, and SWG was truly horrible.

The only MMO I'd get excited about is a free-combat MMO. No semi-realtime encounter-based combat, I'm talking first-person, shoot/slash-who-you-want-and-suffer-consequences combat. Maybe like the Entropy mod for HL2 (is that still in development?), just being able to play in an enormous area encompassing even a single city would just be awesome.

I really want Everquest 2. I signed up for the beta (just like the million other people) and i hope i get in. If i do then i will know if the game is worth it or not before i buy it.

Guild Wars SUCKED!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMFG WORSE GAME EVER, the PvE was TERRIBLE and the PvP was even worse.

I'm a huge fan of MMO's. Currently subscribed to three of them. City of Heroes, SWG, and WW2 Online. I'm so excited about EQ2, the game looks like it will really take another step in the evolution of MMORPGs. Everything I've seen/read so far has been nothing short of spectacular.

i dont play MMO's, as i dont like the idea of paying every month. maybe if i was old enough to have my own credit card ( ) and a job, i might consider playing- but my mum doesnt like me using her credit card for stuff like that. Especially as planetside nicked money off her...

i would actually love to play a decent MMO game, i played planetside and loved it, but gave it back because i couldnt see that the money was worth it (but the ****ers at sony didnt cancel my subscription untill 2 months after i had cancelled it :flame: )

I only make $6/hour and $15 a month is so cheap, I can't believe people with jobs actually complain about the price. People without jobs I could understand complaining though.

Yea when I had to wait around 2 hours for a group in final fantasy XI i quit.

You would'nt of heard of it unless you accidently found it because the publisher didnt publish it (CDV) so they have been scrapped and with its first add-on (Dome Of York) it gets a new publisher and basically is being re-released as a new game, Anyway its called Neocron ....it is more a first person game and isnt the sort you can just pick up and pvp on...its a great game aside its bugs but it is getting better and the add-on will be upgrading it to DX 9.0 and lots of other cool shit. Its also one of the cheapest monthly, i pay for 2 accounts and it hardly bankrupts me (£6~)

I can play 6 hours a day normally, if i dont have to work.

But grinding for like 12 hours to level once is alittle much.

gw looks like it might be fun.......and eq2 also....


Swg might be OK after another year or two of content additions and patches.
