Dude, the best thing about life is that Bowie is in it.You know what the best thing about Omikron was? Bowie was in it.
Sumotori.
That is pretty sad, especially since Dark Souls is on its way.i still know a lot of people who haven't tried or heard of Demon's Souls which is sad
Also, pvtbones, X-COM = Underrated? Really?
Speaking of which, Toady's been developing randomly-generated cities for adventure mode! Yay!dwarf fortress
SERIOUSLY PEOPLE. MOTHER****ING ARMIES OF LIZARDMEN CRAWLING OUT OF THE SEWERS AND ATTACKING YOUR TOWN.Toady One said:The cities more or less show up in tiles now, and I've been fiddling with storm sewers under the paved roads for the last few days. They should be entertaining adventure environments, especially if the people forget to grate off the outflow and critters get in from the river.
With the construction of sewers drawing to an end comes the beginnings of catacombs. These will twist and turn and mix with other underground structures creating fertile ground for quests and adventuring. We are also going to take some time to include some of the undead types we didn't have time for last fall. Prepare to meet the walking dead, both in adventure and fortress modes. The rest of the features (markets etc.) should be put into place shortly afterward.
Do cult classics really count as underappreciated?
Oh the CoC FPS is definitely underrated, real shame the planned sequel never materialized.
Wasn't referring to your post in particular. I just don't see how games like Planescape, Heart of Darkness, X-COM or Freelancer could be considered underappreciated. They all have dedicated followings, were very popular around the time they were released and are recognised for their quality and influence quite widely. Not exactly 'hidden gems'.COC the game doesnt really have a cult though, the books do but probably not the game. Parasite Eve probably does along with Soul Reaver.
