:( i don't know whether i should feel excited because there is a leaked playable hl2 version, or whether i should get a headache and feel depressed because the one company, the one game i respected most has been violated and desecrated.

EDIT: It's the 2nd one.
 
Unlike most people here i'm over 18 and I don't have an empty space in my head :D

Those textures look very crisp and original, especially the hand model...

Its in the resources released one I do believe, it has some pics and now a movie that was released like 10 minutes ago... Look for the filmstrip logo.
 
i'm excited and saddened, sure theres plenty of beta's for other games that's why a beta isn't such a big deal, but the source too ;(

k I've seen the video. It's 14 seconds long. It takes place in some very small boring, vague, empty and dull tunnell. Theres no lighting system. No enemies, no pretty textures. He fires the pistol 3 times at nothing. The movie runs at about 5 frames per second its kinda hard to watch. Theres also no sound. Its nothing special. It just goes to show that a working version is out there.
 
Erm, no lighting system? When you see the light from the gun reflecting off the walls you mean?
 
I basically meant theres no spectacular lighting. The whole room seems to be covered in some sort of dim blueish lightin. Reminiscent of Metal Gear Solid. The gun does make a muzzle flash though yes. As seen in the pics.

Its cool. I didnt make much sense when saying "Theres no lighting system". That would imply that the entire 14 seconds was black. lol. The video doesnt reveal much, but its just cool to see someone got it working I guess.
