For me..

The Boondock Saints: Not exactly a "bad" movie, I found it to be pretty entertaining, I just didn't see why every high school kid in the world seems to just love this one. The plot is bogus, and the dialogue seems like they were just ripping off better movies like Snatch and Pulp Fiction.

Easy Rider: I just found it to be really boring. And forgettable, for that matter.

The Godfather: There, I said it. I didn't like The Godfather. Yes, it has a great screenplay, yes, there are some truly memorable sequences, but overall it was just 3+ hours of BLAH for me.

Over the Hedge. I thought it was utter shite, but everybody I saw it with seemed to love it...

AHH!!! You bastard! Living near me cannot excuse you from this! Gah. I didn't know that was possible. I agree with you on the Boondock Saints though.

Heh, I get that a lot.

I'm willing to give Godfather another shot though. Maybe it's like 2001, and I just need to see it a few times to "get it"

Or maybe I just suck :P

Boondock Saints - was just extremely lame.

Team America - Wasn't even as good as South Park: The Movie.

I'm glad this is a movie-forum that doens't have hordes of Boondock Saints fanboys, those are few and far between.

And I agree, Team America was sort of a let-down, although I still loved the songs.

Kill Bill 1 and 2-I honestly can't stand watching these movies. For some reason, I find them incredibly boring.
Lord of the Rings-They're good movies, but I don't think they're the greatest in the world or anything.
Batman '89-Can't stand it. I can't even sit through it I dislike it so much. Returns though, is still awesome.

- Agreed.

- Agreed. They're way to long.

- Agreed. Batman Forever was waaay better.

Boondock Saints was enjoyable for me, I liked it on some parts but not all.

Lord of the Rings
Stars Wars
Harry Potter

All a bore.

Shaun of the Dead - maybe it's because of the time I watched it (very early in the morning), but it just wasn't as great as people made it out to be

Lord of the Rings - those movies are just too long and have a slow pace. The characters just seem so bland and they didn't manage to make me give a shit about any of them. I watched them just for the special FX to be honest.

The Godfather - It just doesn't interest me in the slightest, and i really don't get why it has so many fans.

Star Wars - I just hate the idea to combine a medieval theme with sci-fi, and that's exactly what they did in Star Wars. Knights, emperors and space ships WTF?
Oh yeah and I wish they would explain to me how exactly can a light saber deflect lasers?!

All comic based movies: Super Man, Spider Man, Bat Man etc Bleah...:x

Here in Boston, EVERYBODY loves the Boondock Saints. I can't deal with it. They're not horrible, they have good bits, but they're so much more "meh" than everyone thinks.

Star Wars. Resident Evil (loads of people I know love it).

- Agreed.

Whoa whoa...Forever's pretty bad too, but I'd watch the original over that one.

Well actually I think they are all bad.

Casino starring Robert de Niro, Sharon Stone & Joe Pesci. My mates love this film, i found it boring & aged.

Batman Begins was a good movie. Have you ever read any of the comic books? I think you need to understand the comic before you can appreciate the movie.

Bullshit. I loved Begins and I have never read a Batman comic.

Actually that's a flagrant lie, and I'm familiar with the conventions and motifs even though I've only ever read two issues. But still.

You're an exception. ;)

You always have to be the party pooper don't you Sulky :(

Yes.

I must admit, I am somewhat the exhibitionist. In a flash, I'm in, I shit all over the table, and I'm out again. That's me. Giving new meaning to the concept of 'spiking the punch'.

I haven't seen it so I can't say one way or the other and I haven't read any of the comics. I've seen most of the cartoon series and liked them, however i still find the idea of a crime fighter in a bat suit silly.

Napoleon Dynamite
Batman 89'
Superman Returns
Spiderman 1 and 2
Shaun of the Dead (I love Spaced, but this was shit)

star wars really it's pap, although i do find the new ones entertaining (mostly cos of samuel l) they still arent as good as people make out give me firefly over star wars any day

lord of the rings far too long with some unnessesary bits, fair enough the battles were cool but overall meh

the great escape one of my friends worships this film but its really not that great its too long and feels like a waste of 3+hrs when they dont escape as the title implys they do i realise its based on a true story but the operative word is "based"

Another one to add: I Heart Huckabees.

Aka Pretentious Crap.

I forgot one : The Titanic Bleah...

I can't stand the Lord of the Rings. I think these movies are genuinely terrible, and that Peter Jackson is ridiculously overrated. I hate these movies.

I really don't understand how people like these movies. I wonder if they truly enjoy them or if everyone sort of decided to wank each other off under the table and pretend they're good.

I truly enjoy them. Seen them all and the extended versions on multiple occasions. I guess it's becuase i loved the books (sure they're different from the books, but it's what we have). I also loved the locations, i mean Hobbiton would be an awesome place to live.

I just love fantasy too, wizards, magical rings, knights, hobbits and all that.

LOTR FTMFW :D

...Get back in your hole before I hurt you.

Any way, Boondock Saints for me.

It's sad, because it's not necessarily because of some flaw in the movie. It was fairly funny and entertaining. However, everybody built it up to be this absolutely brilliant film which it wasn't. It's just a few guys killing people with half skill and half luck. The dialogue isn't that great, and there's certainly been better. The characters aren't all that memorable. The action sequences aren't anything special. What is it that makes this movie tick?
Sadly, despite the film's merits, I now despise it. The amount of retarded high school and college fanboys idolizing this bullshit has driven me to the deep end. I can't watch it because every time I do, I feel something trying to crawl up from under my skin and smother the life from everybody in the room. If anybody repeats one more quote from that movie to me, I will kick their mouth in and have them shitting teeth for a week.
