We were challenged last school year to create a picture based upon our favorite song. My favorite song is "I Want You - Third Eye Blind" so naturally, I chose that.
Download the song if you don't have it. It is absolutely gorgeous. A masterpiece. This is open to interpretation... however, I will post my reasoning behind this in a spoiler tag.

To begin, here is a quote by Stephan Jenkins, the lead singer/songwriter.
"'This band thrives on friction, musically and lyrically. It's about the pull between things - even the happiest song on the record, 'I Want You', is about death: 'The village churchyard is filled with bones weeping in the grave...Send me all your vampires, I want you.' I've always liked the romantic literature that highlights the glory of life by focusing on mortality. That's something I relate to.' - Stephan Jenkins"
Here you see I have placed a graveyard as the background and given it an eerie yellow glow to it. The yellow stems from Autumn, which in literature, is used to signify the end of life. Tied in nicely with that are the leaves I used from a nature brush in Photoshop. There is a twisted skull in the sky, again, a representation of death... but it's more on the hard to see... subconscious level. Death and beauty is what I aimed for.
I hope you like it. I would also like to note that this piece is old.
