My dead friend had his terrible Facebook picture published

Honestly, its not that bad of a photo of him. Just looks like hes fiddling with the camera and not really posing for it.

Sorry to hear about the tragic accident. Its sad to hear about kids doing such stupid things.

My sympathies, Baal :(

If you feel he's being portrayed unfairly, write about who he really was, to you, and see if the paper (or a competing one) will publish it as an op-ed.

That must be a terrible way to die, having one's name hated because of one adventure that went terribly wrong.

RIP to the girl and your friend, and my sympathies to all involved.

What are the chances we'll be seeing that(Stucco/Shasta, what next?) bastard again?
And again, Baal, i offer you my sympathy...:|

Thanks again guys. I was camping all weekend so I didn't keep tabs on this thread, but I thought about it while I was out.

I'm still waiting for the police report and I can let you guys know when it is released. I'm over the way the media sensationalized the story, but it's still tough to realize he's dead.

I just want to know what happened at this point, regardless of how it makes him look. He made a mistake, but I doubt anyone here can say for sure they've never done anything at least a little bit dangerous. The difference is, no one has ended up dead - yet anyways.

I've done dangerous things, only they've never had the potential to endanger some one else's life.

Im sorry to hear about your friend. Even sorrier to hear about the innocent woman. But I dont see whats so bad about the picture.

This is my ex-coworker, and friend, Alex Lambert. He was killed in a supposed street racing accident one week ago last night. This picture was used as his profile picture on Facebook, and it is clearly not the best picture of him to see the light of day, so to speak. When he added me on Facebook, my first thought was "wow, that is truly a terrible picture." When I found out about his death, and saw this picture in the paper, I nearly cried.

The worst part is, Alex, supposedly street racing with another vehicle (the opposing driver, just caught by police yesterday, one week later), crashed into oncoming traffic and killing a 23 year old girl.

I doubt it was supposedly, otherwise there would'nt have been a street race that ended in fatalities and arrests.

Whats his defense -- God forgot friction?

(Probably had something to do with me dropping a bunch of things to test Christian theories on gravity -- I must've distracted him incidentally. In that case, I'm sorry.)
