My NFS: Underground Ride

I gave it 9*.

Its very nice model but needs more poly count.:thumbs:
 
Looks pretty good.

I was thinking of buying the game, the online features sound ace.
Only thing holding me back is the environment, as far as i can see it's just one big dark city with different segments you're racing on.
I think i'll wait for Gran Turismo 4 to get my online car racing fix,
unless ofcourse, someone can convince me to pick it up.

I bought SSX3, T.H.U.G and ManHunt this month, and i can recommend them all!
SSX3 is the best snowboard game at the moment, with excellent visuals and great online stuff.
The new Tony Hawk game is great as well, but i expected a bit more from it. Extending your combo's by running is awesome though.
And ManHunt, well... i just like it very very much. Very atmospheric and brutal.

The 2003 holiday season is a good one for Ps2 gamers indeed.

PS. Hmm.. i just realized you might've picked up NFS:U for the PC, instead of the console version.

Oh well, just my $0.02.

It's a brilliant game, by far the most addictive arcade-style racer I've ever played, bar none.

I've had it for less than 4 days, and have spend close to 20 hours playing. Loving it - more worth your dollar than Deus Ex 2 or Condition Zero, that's for sure. :)

Slick ride, very well put together. Gave it 10, because it's worth it. Good color combination.
 
Sweet car, I got nfsu yesterday, so my own car is not that good yet, still doing the underground mode
 
Ooooooooohh. I like THAT one the best. (Sorry rec) I'm a big fan of green and of dragons. :cheese: Very nicely done I'd say.

lol my Supra ownz, im an amazing dragger....i was just playing and all the skylines i went up i beat :D Mmmm i love the supra.
You may not like my car, but its fast as hell and rice free HOOAH.

Im changing the look as soon as i unlock the other 2 body vinlys
 
ass shot??? mmm yeah. I know you cant see many details with the black paint but you can ingame ;)

My ingame name is Supral (LAME, i know, but just deal with it) and if anyone wants to race drag get me on AIM @ DbLitConfessions. That or im always in the first drag lobby.
 
Sup dudes, I don't even remember what car I have, but when I unlock skyline I will be on it like stink on a hobo.

lol i know, i changed it about 15 min after those pics.

Im at limited choices here, i only have one body vinyle unlocked (race 102/111) and those make it look the best.

EDIT: BTW, i just smoked 3 skylines in a 4 man drag! HAHAHA Proves its not the car, its the driva.

Anyone know how much a stock skyline would cost to be imported? (not made in usa :( )

BTW - MIATAS are a horrible excuse for a car....unless your a WOMAN.

Yeah but, if you want to get in the tournaments to continue on your way to completing the game you have to add decals and neons and tints to get reputation stars.

I like clean looking cars too but I also want to complete the game.

no not really, im on race 109 and i didnt have to add any decals...which imo is what makes rice rice. You also dont need giant bomb exhausts or huge spoilers.

How do you Drift or Drag race online? I dont seem to be able too, just afew maps of curcit mode -.-

When you get style points in MP and unlock, for example, a vynal, will you have it underground mode?

I'll post some pics of my new cars, A kick ass pink one, and my old "Dragon" style one, updated

to do drag and drift mode in multiplauer start up the game. Get to the main menu and go to "Play online" (duh) then login, then choose your name, then choose your car, then you will be in the lobby, with different servers to join. Press the RIGHT arrow key and it will move you to the sprint lobby. Press the RIGHT arrow key again and it will take you to the Drift lobby, pres the arrow again and it takes you to the drag lobby.

Yes, if you unlock something un MP it goes to underground as well.

Heres my pink one (Im going to change it too purple when I get level 3 paint) I cant be bothered to do my other car right now, I will tommmrow or something

edit: Ridic, is this car clean enough? I tried adding Decals and stuff to it, but just made it look bad

Basicly its a powersliders dream, you get points for how well you slide, how fast your going, if you chain slides etc etc

Its not that hard, but on the other hand, its sure as hell not easy, you need to get timeing and speed just right

Imo its the best mode :p

Some rear wings are ok, decals are ugly, music sucks, "we're so cool and trendy" attitude sucks (I really hate fashion stuff), reflections suck, game engine sucks, decals don't fit at all, for example to rear side of car, they get cut out (atleast for my car) and the decals were designed by some graffiti newbie, they really do suck, no collision damage, cars are unrealistic to control and move too fast in too small roads and they don't roll around, car tuning is too limited and you cannot make your own decals... I also could go on... :p
 
How much editing can you do to your car?

Is it just colours and decals?
 
This game looks like it'd be fun to customize your car and stuff..

I played the demo..and I cannot for the life of me win the drag race. I can get second... but I can never win. This is the first game that displays high speeds somewhat realistically. I can't say I've ever used NOS in a car.. but I've gone pretty fast...about 160..and shit was flying by so fast...

I think it'd be fun to play it over LAN with some of my friends and drag race with our own customs...I'm thinking about buying it...but the warez is tempting as well...because I don't think I'd play it enough to be worth my $50...
 
I was going to point out why the person who said basicly everything in nfsu is dumb, but I wont.. as I can just sum it by saying theres a difference between "This sucks" and "I think it sucks" If you dont like the game thats your own problem, but dont come here and whine about much it DOES suck and make other people not bother with it..

You can change pretty much everything you would be able to change...

Short list of the basic stuff

Neon lights
Window tinting(sp?)
Painting of the main frame of the car, the brakes, engine, spoiler, rims on your wheels, and the muffler
You can place Decals on tons of places (once you unlock them)
4 layers of Viynal
Front and rear bumpers
Sideskirts
Roof scope(I think its called that)
Different hoods
Types of rims for your wheels
Different types of front and rear lights

Theres also under the hood upgrades you would get in any other raceing game, but not as vast alot of them, as its more about how your car looks, when your car looks better (and underhood upgrades change this too) you get a rep (the stars in the corner of the screenshot) and that unlocks races and stuff, and inraces you get style points for things like near misses, jumps, powerslideing, drifting, and what place you finshed in, you "level up" from them and gain new upgrades for your car/s

Blah.. heres my car again, changed afew bits, and color too
 
I hate to say it but some of you have horrible taste when it comes to cars. lol. I heard fugly decals make it faster. :cheese:

Also someone stated something about Gran Turismo 4. Whens that supose to come out?
