That is one freaky image.

Awesome to look at though.

Some of your works are quite good. I like your self-portrait, for example. But, nevertheless I believe you should work some more on those proportions. When you practice proportions, don't hesitate to use some kind of measuring device in order to find out where you went wrong. When you get a wrong proportion, redo it. Either rub out what is wrong or redo the whole thing, until you get it right. When you can do the proportions, get on to the contrasts and practice depth.
Perhaps it would be a good idea to stop painting until you get the proportions and the contrasts right. You might occasionally make a nice painting, but the problem with the proportions and the contrast will keep reappearing.
What is your goal anyway? Are you 'just doing this for fun'? or do you want to become a fine/concept artist?

Don't loose courage! Keep working!

hey thanks for all the support guys it means alot to me when i read your responses to my artwork. the responses make me want to work harder, i havent sketched in forever but i am trying to get a local sketch group going...

This is how the proportion issue probably happens, I rush through my work sometimes /sketches because they are just sketches and not supposed to be mathematically correct. Or the work you saw may have been from 2 years ago, thats how old this collection has gotten. I am just a student so I dont have much time anymore to sit and study art and human people that besides books... which I will get printed out and then alas no time to read because of school. also the fact that I dont totally believe in having the perfect peice of proportion because everyones face is a little screwed up and it adds to emotion that i try to reciprocrate something like that. I will definately now however pay way more attention to proportion and try to get everything good and relative as it can get until it is second nature. I suck at depth too in most of my sketches but I took some art classes and I understand more about shadows now and etc.
I havent sketched in about 3 months so :( and I cannot just stop painting I have to paint to pass my art class, painting is fun anyway. But I agree with you you cannot write if you can't read.
I do art just because.. I mean why do we breathe, why do people become doctors lawyers and indian chiefs? I think art came to me like this, most of my art teachers in elementary school saw something in me (except one teacher who never really put much attention towards my artwork ) I dont know why but they were always trying to push me into the art path but I maintained a seemingly consistant interests in the art in middle school where I was formally introduced to creativty and 3d construction my art teacher pushed me and she told me I would be great and she gave me alot of art supplies and told me to draw draw draw and then. now in highschool i just like to draw and do wahtevrr I feel that it is so much freedom through art and expression it turns me on all the time so I dunno.

but right now I am frustrated I am working on an acrylic painting with the statue of liberty and I cannot get the colors right so I thinking about crying and possibly pulling an all nighter until I stich this bitch i hope i hallucinate and picasso comes down from heaven or w/e and shows me how to paint that would make me cream myself
