Need Help on Last section of Nova

Hi all,
Need some help, through the whole level (when you first get the turrets), i have been carring them with me. well, i accidently brought one in too early and killed Eli and my saved game has disappeared. will this make a differeance in the end? i don't want to proceed further if the death of Eli makes it so i can't finish the game.

when?

where on the map did you kill Eli, was it when he is stuck in some sort of container or when you have released him from it (in the end of Nova Prospekt).
I think it will backfire at you later in the game cause your supposed to get him in a teleporter later on.

I don't believe it'll have any impact on the game...

The main NPC's (Eli, Alyx, Barney) are spawned every time u need them all over again (you don't actually think that the computer made the model of Alyx actually walk the way from Black Mesa East to Nova...). So unless Eli is suppose to start some kind of a scripted sequence right where you are, you should have no problem (and even if he is, there are ways to work around it).

yeah, it was when he was in the tranport container and then again right when he supposed to be transported.

the turrets didn't kill Eli im my game, but they surely tried to kill Mossman. looks like VALVe didn't actually predict that the turrets could be moved that far
but hey -

Mossman IS your enemy (at least at that moment) so the turrets kinda reacted accordingly.

but about Eli... no clue why it happened

yeah, it really helped out having 2 extra turrets in the level when you are over run by the Columbine. i just had to worry about the damn grenades.
