I promise to apologise for this thread in the morning, but here is my story.

Woke up looking at my feet..... ran through people offering me prostitutes and heroin.... got to a friends... am sitting on their comp.

long story short, I was thinking about this freaking website the whole time and am very happy to be able to post here.

you connect with us emotionally. Hl2.net is a home to you - because yours feels inadequate, emotionally hostile and lifeless. So hl2.net becomes a refuge. A place for peace of mind and sameness in a chaotic and uncertain world.

No matter how fast the world spins, however many Middle Eastern countries begin rioting in the streets, regardless of your employment status or real life circle of friends or sickened romances... hl2.net presides, standing tall, proud, stoic, and unchanged, welcoming most every lifelost, wayward neckbeard to achieve momentary bouts of sanity.

You're being followed by the FBI.

you're still being followed by the FBI

Is this one of those 'look at me I'm so cool' threads?

This is like Solaris's thread about being drunk, except more weird and confusing.

In essence, but as usual it's a good source of entertainment.

For a limited time, that is. These threads only last a day or two before their inevitable death.

I doubt this is real.

A friend of me couldn't even select a song in iTunes, because he couldn't grasp the concept of the interface. It could also be iTunes' fault

Halflife2.net: it's safer here. Refuge from the Combine, FBI, and psychedelic daemons.

Maybe this thread should be called 'Never do mushrooms and make a thread about it'

Do mushrooms, it will temporarily make you popular on the internet

ahhh bloody hell I forgot about this. Just got home and was defiantly the crappiest night ever. I met some friends I hadn't seen since high school and well the rest should be obvious.

I doubt this is real.

All depends how much and how long after, but it was real :(

Maybe this thread should be called 'Never do mushrooms and make a thread about it'
Or just never go on the internet while doing or drinking anything!

Last time I did drugs, this guy walked in the house. And I SWORE it was a cop.
Didn't really freak out, but I was just thinking, OH **** WE'RE ****ED OH SHIT

turned out to be the guy next door whose dog we caught running around earlier, and he gave us money for our troubles
he was just as blazed as we were
I didn't even anything it was the most bizarre thing

haven't done drugs since mostly because of careers

nah it's pretty ok and not as bad as people make it out to be
but it's also really boring and not as good as people make it out to be

maybe it's just because I have a really nice life without it I don't like it

Drugs are for people who are naturally boring.

Until then, though, it's entertaining.

Sure, but the entertainment you get out of it is only temporary, much like the medicine we use for a headache, or the hot soup we drink for a cold. These remedies usually cure us of our troubles for only a short amount of time before we are again feeling like a rotting pile of excrement.

So yeah, Hemingway, Hunter Thompson, Keith Richards, Carl Sagan, Sigmund Freud, Edgar Allan Poe, Aldous Huxley, Ted Turner, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jimi Hendrix, Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, Brett Easton-Ellis, Johnny Cash, Kurt Cobaine, Elvis Presley, Nikki Sixx, Ben Franklin, Albert Hoffman, Jerry Garcia, Steve Jobs, Richard Pryor, Anthony Kiedis, David Bowie, Marshal Mathers, Jackson Pollack, Janis Joplin, John Lennon, Tupac Shakur, Adolph Hitler, Sir Walter Scott, Vincent Van Gogh, John Belushi, William S. Burroughs, Allen Ginsberg, Billie Holliday, Ulysses S. Grant, Salvitor Dali, John Keats, Ken Kesey, David Crosby, Charles Dickens... etc etc

All p. naturally boring folks, right? Just a goddamn snore fest!

Yeah, man, those cats were all drags before they did the funky substances. Then they were all like "Whoa let's write a book about The Universe and snort our dead father's ashes."

The rest, as they say, was history.

I'd have to agree, I mean all these threads where people think that others want to hear about their life and actually recognise them as members of a community of individuals rather than just stylish usernames nonchalantly sniping other usernames in a custom font every damn thread just because I can't get any friends in real life, I mean it's not like I don't try or anything, I'm a pretty friendly guy and I have a wide range of interests

So really your statement is, "drugs are for people who are naturally boring, unless they aren't naturally boring." Informative.

How did we even get on the issue of drugs in the first place?

Oh wait

Entertainment is not the only thing that shrooms provide.

Sure, there are the visuals and the distorted senses. However, the most important thing is the fact that you have an open mind. You are able to think clearly about subjects that have troubled you for a long time. It's hard to judge things in your life, until you put a step back.

We're all tripping on serotonin right now, anyway.

There's a healthier alternative to what you describe: music. Most importantly, the type that soothes the mind and entices the ears at the same time, allowing the individual to relax and contemplate whatever has been troubling him or her for the past few days, weeks, month, years, etc. It's nice to hear a lovely tune every now and then. Why don't you give it a try?

Also, this was a misunderstanding. Maestro and I were having a discussion about the entertainment from this thread, not drugs. 'Alas, most of you are probably high right now (not me) so don't worry, this will all make sense in a couple of days. At least Robbo seems to have sobered up from whatever happened to him before.
