Never see anyone on the HL2.net servers

Every time I go to play some CS:S, I always go to check the HL2.net servers, and there's RARELY anyone on them..

When do most people tend to get on?

no you can barley get onthe servers if you go on at the right times evenings from 6pm is normaly busy and around midday the servers are very busy

What?! There's always people on the #1 server (#2 and #3 have an older protocol Damnit!), and sometimes it's almost impossible to get on it.

You must get on either really early or really, really late. Like 4am. I was on 'till 2:30 last night and there were still people playing.

I think he's probably talking about the US servers (on which I haven't seen a single person in about a month of random checking)... not UK.

I get the same feeling. Sometimes there are some hl2.netters, but those have I never heard of.

I actually noticed that the #1 server was empty last night when I checked it. That was weird. It's empty now ..

But there's usually a lot of people on #1. They barely have room for me when I want to play

I try the us west one (closest to me, ping wise) and I still get 350+ pings... so, I need to wait for my isp to get its act together..

I have all HL2.net servers as favourites, and there are almost never people playing on them. In fact, the only name that I've ever recognised was Dekstar.

I reckon it's because they're unadmin'ed at the moment. We're sorting this out though so if anyone wants to apply, follow the instructions here.

oh munro, are you going to get back to me on the idea of a clan practice server?

I just remembered something. I'm not sure about the Texas server but the 20 player NY server blows when it gets almost full. It can't handle 20 people. That's probably why people don't play there very often.

I just applied . I always wanted to be a server admin on the Half-life 2.net servers, because they are so fun.

The hl2.net servers have the best CSS community I've found so far.

The only downside is, either they're all empty, or only one is up - and it's full.

Could you guys do something like reduce the number of servers, but increase the number of players in each? I hate being unable to join a server with actual players, having to end up in some other random server instead.

aren't the beef servers bugged right now? i think they lag like hell!
