Yeah choppers can rain death, but they're apparently more tricky that in BF:V (but not as much as Desert Combat). However, it seems that theres some serious AA equipment in the game to combat it. In addition the tanks can now pop smoke and hide.Gunner said:It's amazing, definitely going to buy this one
Gameplay hasn't changed though, tanks get raped faster than anything else, and I can assume choppers will come out on top once again.

im not sure if its a 'hands on' preview, its strange that a tech site gets a preview before gs or ign etc, sounds more like a 'what we know/think about' bf2 tbh.NikolaX said:nice find thanx jimbo
Hah, I was a chopper pilot in DC.Gunner said:I hope you're right Wolf, I really hate chopper pilots. They go out of their way to kill you and spam fifty hellfire missiles to make sure.
jimbo118 said:only a week,pfft i had to wait 5 months for mgs3.

well the whole idea behind voice communication in BF2, is teamwork.jimbo118 said:mics bla, cant stand them in cs, whiny teenagers screaching, i'll stick with the default txt cmds.
yeah but im a hunted fugitive, cant have people hearing my voice. :sniper:Mr. Redundant said:well the whole idea behind voice communication in BF2, is teamwork.
you choose who is and is not in your squad, so you can (by choice) avoid the whiny teenagers.
(only squads can communicate via mics to eachother, then the squad leader communicates to the commander via mic, and orders his troops accordingly) -- very cool logical dynamic imo.
I was suggesting that the mature among the community, interested in playing BF2 together would do well to work in squads, with VOIP.
simply because speaking is faster, even than context sensitive voice commands.
jimbo118 said:lol good luck sniping when helis are around, no long grass in sight.
also whats the rating for bf2? will there be blood? i mean it is ea
StardogChampion said:I'm not gonna read through this thread, but anyone notice the player models staying fully lit when standing in a shadowed area? I wonder if he was bright when lying under the train sniping too.
It looks pretty good otherwise.
so teen rating is no blood then, interesting how you can shoot someone point blank in the face with a tank shell sending their corpse flying into the air before crashing back down but the smallest bit of claret will warp the teenagers minds.Shens said:Teen based on the other Battlefield games.
If I remember correctly, the player is not visible if hidden in grass. Even from a distance and if you can't see the grass. Or something like that...
damn aa and af alert!, those looks crap tbh, pretty low res. i hope to be able to max the bastard, did you hear the demo is coming out the day its released in europe, sounds suspicious, typical ea move. :frown:EVIL said:http://battlefield1942.filefront.com/screenshots/News/18315/

oh and one thing appears not to be in BF2, that is the battle music feature that BF:V had, where you could turn on your radio and head into battle with some viatnam tunes
