New Dark Messiah Gameplay Videos And Screenshots!!!

Those are odd video titles... :bounce:
Maybe you are too quick for them to host it. Going ahead to each page, the first 1 that I get to work is 'Slice and Dice' which is the same as the assasins video on Steam. You're right, all the other videos on the first couple pages are duds.

The 5 new screenshots are great though.

yeah its looking real good and you know the performance will play well on the source engine.

Saw all the videos and this looks amazing.

Just watch the Assassin, Warrior and Wizard vids are on Steam. Full screen goodness.
Ah, I uninstalled Half-Life 2 / Steam about a year ago. I just don't have time for it right now.

Saw all the videos and this looks amazing.
Yea, I'm glad to see that the new breed of action RPG's are turning out so well.

This isn't really an RPG.. The devs themselves have called it a Fantasy FPS.:)

I want something like this but Sci-fi. Liiiike bioshock!

I want this too though :D

I think it will do better than Oblivion. Oblivion is AMAZING yes, but the engine is so power hungry. Theres TOO much to do, you end up feeling 'This is great that i can do whatever the hell i want..but why am i doing it??'.

The videos look amazing, naturally, because its on the Source Engine. Not only does this mean it looks beautiful, but it will also not need the world's most powerful PC to run it on max settings.

The only complaint i have, watching the videos, is the transaction the ragdoll takes when, say, falling off a cliff. The model seems to stop for like, a second, then start with ragdoll applied. If you watch closely when each of the orcs die, youll see what i mean.

But apart from that, im so buying this game.

Oh, I really liked the way that looked. I hope they don't change it.

I'm so buying it too. :D

Really? Oh, so you just pick a certain class and don't level up or anything? OK, well each class looked pretty cool. I saw warrior, assassin, and wizard so far. I'm starting to feel that there will only be a few classes after hearing that it's not an RPG though. In fact, these might be the only three character choices. I don't know, I haven't read anything up on this game yet.

My only complaint so far, is that when the enemy is on the ground recovering and about to get up, you finish them off with a final strike with your blade, and it looks the same every time. I think a slightly different camera or animation for this would be really cool. I mean I was already sick of seeing it by the 2nd or 3rd time. It just looks a little 'off', or repetitive, or something.

I really like how the fighting works out beyond that. It's ****in amazing, and looks really fun.

I was really 'meh' on this title when I first heard about it, but since then I have become really interested in it. I love the many different ways to dispatch enemies and such we have seen so far in the vids. I just hope the rest of the environments and the story can hold up as well!

Ohh man the videos still not working??? Anyone else get the videos to work ? THe new ones?

Mmm fantasy FPS.

< Is still waiting for a game with decent swordfighting besides Jedi Knight series.

Sword + Crossbow = Win.

not bad, the graphics is nice,

still, I rather buy a DX10 card next year.

You get the random statement of the day award :)

'Nice graphics, but i'd rather buy an apple next tuesday'

mmmm graphic apple goodness

At first I was interested in this game ..then when I found it wasnt so much an rpg I lost interest ..then I saw the e3 videos so I'm interested again ..but then after watching more videos I lost interest cuz a lot of it looked the same ..but then I read something about the unique objective based multiplayer so now I'm interested again :)

It'll be worth playing just to turn people really tiny and squish them.

I've also been running hot and cold on this game over the last month or so, but thought the more recent vids looked good. Infact, it's beginning to look like the game i've always wanted - a decent fantasy fps.

Just pretend you're Conan, Stern, and the rest will fall into place :)

Looking forward to this game a lot. The gameplay looks like a lot of fun, esp. the multiplayer. I hope the SP isn't too lineair.

This game might beat Oblivion in terms of combat but definitely not overall for people that want an RPG.

Oblivion has lots to do because it's completely open-ended. You're doing it because you want to :p

It looks like a vary good game to map for...hope ill be able to.

I don't know a thing about modding, but it's a Source based game, so if you knowSource you can prolly mod it.

I REALLY don't like the slow-mo whenever you lop off a limb or a head or something. It happens twice in under 30 seconds, that is extremely overdone. It would drive me crazy if the game goes into slow-mo around 1/3 of the times I kill an enemy. I hope there is an option to turn it off, otherwise it could be one of the most annoying features in gaming history.

It also sounds like a game where I could really imagine myself playing through with every class atleast once. I'm feeling magic first because I've always had a thing for casters, then based on that I'll decide stealth or force.

I'm still waiting for a game that properly represents "magic" without just a bunch of pre-set spells. I would like a combination of the Black and White casting system where you draw a symbol for simple spells like good old fireball, but then to do something like just destroy someone or summon a demon, you have to draw several symbols quickly without messing up or it fails. Or in the case of a demon you summon him, and he just kills you.

Melee combat the same way, control different attacks with for example the mouse. You could use the mouse to swing the weapon for basic attacks, then use combo keys or foot movement patterns for special moves. Or just release a game guitar hero style except with a handful of weapons, such as big stick, little stick, and very little stick (to suit all weapon types).

But then, I just like some proper interactivity and complexity in my action games.
