NEW EP2/Orange Box footage!

That's what I want to know for months, but Gabe never answers my mails.
 
I havn't watched any video cantaining any gameplay footage, I want the game to be a complete surprise.
 
Magnusson is now my most favorite character, even more so than Alyx!
I love his sarcasm. :D

It's going to be great to hear some of Magnusson's line's in Ep2. I'm sure it's signature quality.
 
Magnusson will be a great character, right up there with Alyx and G-Man.
 
You know I would like to see Breen and Magnusson interacting that would be interesting since Magnusson is a jerk, I'm sure he would get Breen angry.
 
Kleiner and Breen are the ones who need to interact. Can you imagine how awesome that would be?
 
I want to see the game run on a PC, then we can confirm whether the new HUD (and weapon selection screen )is due to the console version or not. Because I want a flashy HEV upgrade in this game.
 
^^Though that wouldnt make sense...when did you have time to upgrade, between buried in a train wreck and running through the forest...

I watched the TF2 vid...looks like a totally awesome clusterfvck...I saw the first 30 seconds of the Ep2 clip, and stopped...I think Valve is releasing too much video...we will know the entire game by the time we get it at this rate!!

Speakng of Dr. Breen, I'd really like to know the truth behind his fate, this hasn't yet been answered or hinted. It would be nice if Valve would say "You'll find out the truth behind Breen's fate in Episode 2, etc."

It's a shame, but I got a feeling this is one thing that will be left in the dark and won't be answered. :(
 
I'm pretty sure Breen died. It was very clear. At least for me.
 
It's still possible he's still alive, perhaps the Vortigaunts saved him or the Gman?

I hope so!
 
Why would the Vorts save Breen? They hate the combine, Breen was working for the Combine. but the G-man.. hmm

Because Breen negotiated humanity's survival, if he hadn't, the Combine would've most definately extermated all of mankind with ease if Dr. Breen didn't step up.

Do Valve do that just to leave it a mystery, and leave it up to the players to decide?
 
Don't worry I'm sure that we will find out about Breen's fate in ep2, after all Valve are avoiding anything related to Breen other than talking about his past but not his future, of course I don't think he became an advisor but something different or he got saved by the G-man for a special job.

Well kleiner isn't really the aggressive type so Kleiner and Breen interacting would be interesting to see how he would actually talk to him, would he be calm or angry like Eli was.

What I want to see is Barney and Breen interacting now that would be epic.
 
Anyone else reminded of the scene in Jurassic Park with the 'rapters in the kitchen at the start of the new Hunters video, what with the hiding and the strange, barked communication of the unseen Hunters? Awesome.
 
Not necessarily that scene in particular, but I definitely caught the raptor vibe. Cool isn't it?
 
I'm loving that apparently the car gets a radar upgrade. That sounds awesome.
 
I'm starting to think Breen might have made an escape via Razor Train, while Gordon and Alyx were at the base of the citadel, maybe on the one we see before the truck through sequence, when Alyx says 'Before I change my min...'
 
Er, what? How in the world would Breen manage to get out of the bubble and low enough to find a razor track? That explosion took out the entire tip of the Citadel.
 
It looked to me like it took out the whole upper-half. Breen would not likely have escaped except, possibly, by teleportation.
 
Highly unlikely. Your goal was to stop Breen escaping; that happened. Once that explosion went there was no possible for him to teleport anywhere. They don't have local teleportation, remember, and Breen is clearly in the chute.
 
Who the hell is Magnusson?! First I've heard of him in this thread.

I really don't want to watch any of those vids ...... but the temptation is to great! I must just sneak a peak at one of them ;-)

"They" don't, but Vorts appear to. I thought we'd agreed before that was a possibility.

Not that I'm saying Breen escaped. For the time being though, his fate remains filed under "undisclosed material."
 
There's no way in hell I'm watching that Magnusson vid. I've had it up to here with spoilers so far. I watched the hunter vids though, and they were pretty damn awesome. The sounds they make are almost as good as that one they made in the 5th gameplay trailer, you know the one like a demented cow. Here's to hoping they get rid of the new blood effect...

I haven't read all of this thread BTW, for fear of spoilers. From what I did read though, Magnusson sounds ****ing awesome.
 
Yea, I haven't watched any videos outside of the two official trailers and the five gameplay videos. It's harsh, but when release time comes I'll be proud of myself. :D
 
But why would they.... maybe its do to with all those 'Did you know your contract was open to the highest bidder' and 'I've had some interesting offers for your services Dr.Freeman...'

It's rather obvious that Breen knew something about the G-man, and the stasis.

And he mentions "a fine pawn for those who control him".

Yep, Breen knows about WASD.

Spooky.
