I'm guessing that the downloaded files won't be copyright protected, since they're free in the first place

So yes, you should be able to copy them to a cd :thumbs:

I read that they're all free of all DRM, so yeah, you can do what you want with them.

The thing that prompted them to do this in the first place was that their 6-album contract with EMI ended, so I can't imagine they'd need any sort of copyright protection on this. Not sure which label they'll be releasing the hard copy on though.

Same here. I'm not a fan of the band but I'm tempted to pay a small price for it because I love the distribution choice as well. Hopefully more artists will go down this path
