Probably just to piss people off because they're pissed. They think they're getting HL2, then find out it's corrupted or a 700mb gay porn video. "GOD damnit!" Now since the person is pissed, maybe they want to spread the love and have other people get pissed off.

Some people do that sort of stuff for fun. How they find it fun... the mystery eludes me

Go outside, go look at a car. Now tell me the tires arn't a BIT deflated. Not all tires are perfectly round, especially not on a offroad vehicle (should be obvious to the reason why) such as....what's this? A BUGGY!
