New site design

I've saved my eyeballs in a ceramic saucer for future re-solidification.

You mean those... Oh.... I thought those were some strange japanese appetizers. Sorry.

Uhg gross.

So i get home, and find my beloved hl2.net like...this?!

Since I've already added to the "Tags" thing, *Apparently, so did xendance, and whoever added 'hl2.net lols'...I can see abuse coming to that.

I keep logging on here and thinking I'm on the wrong forum.

I added 'hl2.net lols' as well. Just checking, that is all.

Orange is not a good colour. It sticks out like a sore thumb.

There's a few changes... please read this thread.

Is there any more feedback on the main page graphics?

Main page looks great, I'd like to go back to the old forum style though. Will there be a choice of forum skins?

*tsk* *tsk* 447 errors...

I would be fired for building this site. :D

However...

as it's free, undemanding and always here for my convenience and has been a reliable supply of familiar faces and gaming news over the past few years, I really don't care how it looks or how it is built, it will always be fine and dandy to me.

I don't care much for valid HTML code. As long as it looks the same in every browser and works in them I don't see a problem :)

I loved my delicious old colours, but this isn't eye-burningly horrific or anything.

Blue is best now.

Are we supposed to be able to see all the secret society activity in the social groups?

I'm not fussed. This skin is fine but maybe have an option that allows you to switch between skins?

At the bottom left of the page there is a drop down that lets you change skins.

I'm glad the option is there for blue, because Orange is a bit bright...

Urgh, new site looks horrible in blue. I'll stick with the orange.

A few glitches, but Blue is fine. It's definitely easier on the eyes.

I'm assuming web design isn't your primary job, then? :|

W3C compliant HTML is there for a very good reason Munro, and it has little to do with browser compatibility... but hey, I'm not going to blind you with technicalities ;)

I was about to churn out another banner but Photoshop is being a bitch.

Not to mention saving the hosting company that hosts the place for free some bandwidth.

I did a CSS version of the site when it was changed to see how long it would take me - 15 minutes including menus etc styled.

There is a blue background.

Any this is so great.
I posted that before it was available, dummkopf

Also is there a way to revert your personal profile to its original colour scheme?

Jesus the blue colour scheme is worse then he new default. :O

I liked the old design better. Was unique and gave the site character. Why fix something that's not broken?

You sir are a steeley eyed miss-ul-man.

The jump from tables to div's is quite a big learning curve though if you aren't that familiar with working with code, I know I hated the change, but I could never go back to clunky tables again now - making the code squeaky clean and getting xhtml validation passes across the board is most of the fun :cheese:

I must have accidentally pressed a button that made the font size very small. Anyone know how to change it [back]?
