I hope this hasn't been posted before, but there are new Tribes:Vengeance screenshots. Head on over here to see them. This game is looking real good, looks a lot like Halo but doesn't sound like Halo. :naughty: :naughty:

hmmm the video i saw of this looked kinda crappy. I have tribes 2, and i was unsatisfied with it. Plus ragdoll effects from the vengeance movie looked like it was poorly done. It was early version tho so maybe they've improved it. I kinda find tribes to be over-rated tho. Nobody works together, its just a big free for all

Tribes is probably my favorite series ever.
And yes, those videos are from an alpha that is on average 35%-55% done.
I've seen all the shots because I've been following it so close, as I played Tribes II for at least two years. While there will always be retarded servers, I saw more coordination on average in the Tribes games than in any other team based game.

Quite frankly I don't think there is a game where people will always work together on a public server.

I'v been looking forward to this game ever scince it was anounced, although i wish they were useing the source engine or maybe cry tech.

Technically, yes, but it's set before Tribes 2. Looks excellent, though.

Quite frankly I don't think there is a game where people will always work together on a public server.

Coming from one of the European professional Tribes2 clans I can say the clan scene for this type of game is immense. The organization and skilled tactics really do being the meaning of teamwork to life. Much better to play it semi-pro than for fun though, except on public servers.

On publics you'll find it's random depending on what type of people are on the server. Some matches will be all over the place and you'll just become frustrated with your team as you watch them go downhill and eventually lose.

However, once the clan scene kicks in and everyone's got a position they like to play, you'll find when you join publics these people will stay in their position for practice and as long as you don't have a team full of cappers it should work out to be highly enjoyable.

I was in a particulary big European clan can't remember the name though, whenever we played on a vehicular map we would get a transport up in the air packed with heavys and circle the enemy base shelling them, actually worked better than you thought it would.

I remember palying the Starsiege Tribes DEMO for the longest time... then Tribes 2 came... one of the best online team-based games available today... so this one should be... like... wow...
