Tension between Georgia and its separatist republic of South Ossetia heightened on today, with both sides blaming each other for a night of gunfire in the so-called "conflict zone." The shootout is one of the most serious incidents in the region since Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili vowed to restore control over the breakaway province.

Georgia wants SoutH Ossetia back into its nation but SoutH Ossetia does not want that to happen. So far there have been small skirmishes on the border on both sides. Georgia a frew days ago shelled South Ossetia's capitol for 2 straight hours and injured a total of 2 people. They also did an attack with spetsnaz but were driven off with police forces from South Ossetia(lmao)

South Ossetia is getting a lot of support from Russia, hopefully Georgia will learn its lesson
